5 Tips for Getting Your Employees Onboarded with Engine
You know the value that Engine can provide your employees – incredible discounts, reliable 24/7 customer support and access to over 700,000 properties worldwide.
But even when the upsides of adopting a new platform are great, implementing change in any organization can be a difficult task!
That’s why we’re sharing our top 5 tips for getting your employees onboard with Engine:
1. Company training
Communication is key when it comes to implementing a new resource in your organization. The first step to onboarding your team with Engine is raising awareness about your new membership and ensuring all employees learn the basics of the platform.
For example, hosting a webinar or company-wide training session is a great way to make the introduction and relay essential information about registering and navigating the platform to your team.
We’d be more than happy to have a member of our team join your training to walk your employees through the platform or answer any questions they might have.
2. Include Engine in relevant company resources
To encourage use of the platform, employees must be able to easily find and access the Engine platform. Embedding the website link into internal resources (like your own company website or intranet) will make accessing the booking platform easy and efficient for your team. Encourage them to bookmark it, and to download the app so they can use Engine on the go!
3. Amend company policy
One of the most effective ways to motivate your employees to take advantage of the great benefits offered through Engine is to write the platform into your corporate travel policy. Consider adding a company mandate that Engine must be used for all corporate travel to keep your employees on the platform, not to mention, streamline your travel management process!
Knowing exactly where to go to book lodging not only saves time for your team, it will help keep information centralized to streamline your processes!
4. Share helpful updates and reminders
At Engine, we’re constantly updating our platform and adding new features that help make booking even easier. Whenever there is a major platform modification, make sure you’re sharing this knowledge with employees through corporate communications.
In addition to feature updates, you can send your employees reminders about Engine during peak travel times of the year to prompt your team to take advantage of securing the lowest rates.
5. Include Engine in your new hire onboarding process
We’ve uncovered helpful ways to integrate Engine into your current employee base, but what about new employees?
One of the best ways to introduce the platform to new team members is to include Engine in your new hire onboarding process. This can look different across organizations depending on your current new hire process.
A few ways you can make the Engine introduction to new employees is by requiring new hires watch a ‘how to’ training video on Engine, including an Engine one-page explainer in onboarding flyers and forms, or including Engine information in your company’s welcome presentation.
More ways to onboard your team:

2. Custom communications material
At Engine, we want to make onboarding your team as stress-free as possible. We work with partners to create personal marketing campaigns or custom-designed email templates for admins to share with employees and take hassle out of making introductory Engine communications to your team. (As an example, check out a few of our email templates to encourage your employees to sign up here!)
