FABTECH 2025 Chicago - General Information

FABTECH 2025 is scheduled to take place from September 8 to 11, 2025, at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois. This annual event is one of the largest trade shows in North America for the metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing industries.

Spanning all three halls of McCormick Place, FABTECH 2025 is expected to host more than 1,500 exhibitors and draw over 40,000 attendees. The show floor will cover over 800,000 square feet of space and feature hands-on demonstrations, equipment debuts, and interactive displays from companies across the entire manufacturing supply chain.

The event includes multiple technology pavilions, such as Forming & Fabricating, Welding, Finishing, Metal Cutting, Tube & Pipe, and Robotics & Industrial Automation. A key highlight for this year is the expanded Job Shop Pavilion, designed to spotlight small-to-mid-sized contract manufacturers, showcasing specialized services and agile capabilities.

Beyond the show floor, FABTECH offers a comprehensive education program that includes over 100 sessions and expert-led panels. Topics range from technical training and operational improvement to workforce development, digital transformation, safety practices, and business strategy. These sessions are geared toward professionals in engineering, operations, procurement, production, and executive roles.

Networking events will be held throughout the week, offering opportunities for attendees to connect with industry peers, suppliers, and prospective clients. Special sessions such as leadership summits, town halls, and women-in-manufacturing forums are also planned.

The show typically runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first three days, and closes slightly earlier on the final day. Pre-registration is encouraged to avoid delays at check-in and to access early-bird pricing for educational sessions.
