Excellent experience and looking forward to going back.

Now onto the cons and why we are contemplating a 3rd visit. Our top issue is the quality and freshness of the food at both Biergarten and Woodlands (we did multiple breakfasts, lunches, and dinners here). It is average at best and if needed to sum up in one word -= underwhelming. We did Jules on our first visit and that was not anything to rave about either. If you are going to stay at a resort for multiple days and pay what Barnsley is charging per night, the food needs a major makeover. The second issue was in our cottage. While bedding and areas appeared clean, there were stains on the main rug and on the bathroom walls. Once again, just not acceptable at these rates. We could also hear the neighbors that were in other rooms of the cottage, better soundproofing of doors and the connecting area is needed. Overall it’s a nice resort but in our travel experience the value isn’t aligning with the rates.

The bathroom door was broke and the bathroom drain was broke.

Great pool and property. Get there early and stay late after checkout!

Activities are close and many of them. Did not like the picnic tables at Biergarten. Older people need backs

Passable

Cottage was quiet, clean and comfortable. Parking spots are labeled for your cottage. Really enjoyed the mashup of Jules and Woodlands as Woodlands is getting a face lift. Overall, Walkable and not too far to anything. Loved the S'more hour. We gathered our s'more supplies from Inn lobby and enjoyed the quiet of the night. The golf putt practice area was excellent. Enjoyed working on my putting. The outpost was cute for gifts. Bought a cologne for my husband and a cookbook. Want to go back and spend more days.

The property and setting were gorgeous! I loved the walkability from the inn, cottages, and every activity we wanted to do! The variety of amenities kept everyone busy and interested. The nightly s'mores by the bonfires and morning coffee, fruits, breads and biscuits were a nice touch and enjoyed by all! The rooms and cottage was very clean and quaint. The weekend live music was awesome too!! Pickleball courts were a plus!!! The Biergarten was closed M-W, which was a shame since the outdoor restaurant was centrally located and easy to grab a bite and watch whatever sports were on. The other main restaurant was good, but slow at times. Our waiter was fantastic and very attentive, however!

The whole experience was exceptional. The cottage was lovely. The Baretta experience was great. We enjoyed fishing, golf and horseback riding as well. We will absolutely be back.

The only thing I will say is for Expedia users there is a 700$ charge that is added when you get there on top of what you paid to Expedia. I think that Expedia should inform people about that cause 700$ is a lot!
