Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Albertville

Room was very nice, hotel was clean. However one elevator was out of order. We ended up taking the stairs up to and down from the 3rd floor most of the time because there was always such a wait. All of the ice machines were down. The staff was giving out bags of ice like you would buy at a gas station. The “hydration station“ on our floor wasn’t working so I had to go to the fitness room to fill my water bottle. Also, the staff said that breakfast was amazing and the coffee was like “watered-down Folgers.” She had it backwards—the coffee was actually decent but the first day of breakfast was subpar. The second day was okay, but it was definitely not what the front desk made it out to be! But the beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean!

Pool area was nice and clean After the first night when housekeeping came in they made the bed but didn’t take out the trash. They also took the towels and didn’t replace them, we had to go to the lobby to ask for towels.

Location clean

The cleaning staff was amazing. The check in girl was ok. Not the friendliest. It was the manager that I did not care for in the slightest. There were construction workers that they did not charge their room for one night and they were getting to stay for free and she is talking about this at breakfast. Flirting with the men. Inappropriate that she was off for a day and this wasnt the check in persons first time this had happened and they were going to get a write up. entirely unprofessional because I sure wasnt getting a discount and did not need to hear the way that she was talking wit these men.

When we got there the keycards were not working. They lady told us she’d have to walk us to a room. She walks us unlocks it and leaves. The room is dirty. We go back stairs and tell her the room number and that it was not cleaned. Someone in the lobby says “that’s because it’s my daughter’s room.” So, they tried to give us someone’s room. The next try she opens a door to a room that’s also occupied. The lady then proceeds to excessively cuss her boss to us and encourages us to leave bad reviews. On the third try we get a clean room but couldn’t help but thinking we hoped she didn’t open ours and try to give it away while we were gone. It was very unorganized and the key cards not working is a safety issue.

Room and entire facility was clean, elevators were quick to respond. Front desk at check in was fast and efficient.

Room halls and front desk area were all super clean. Attendants were very friendly and welcoming. My only concern was the mattress and pillows. The mattress was hard and cheap and the pillows were extremely soft. For the price we expected a better mattress and set of pillows.
