I know it's used by most as a ski resort but there were a lot of mountain bikers in the summer. NO AC and yes it does get hot in the mountains.

Summer visit- the location cannot be beat but the food is wildly overpriced and restaurants advertised as open were closed. $80 for a burger and salad and soda because nothing else was open for dinner after 5pm and there were zero grab and go options open. We didn't want to have to drive back down the mountain for food after a long day of driving. The food itself was tasty but the options were too "foodie" when sometimes you just want something simple because you want to eat quickly and get back outside. The pool was great but lots of bugs, therefore bats. The new chairlift was a fabulous experience and the views were stunning. The room was dated but the views made up for it. A few bucks spent on replacing very old electric outlets would have made a difference in being able to plug in chargers and other items without the cords falling out of the socket. The front desk was only staffed by one person but she handled things quickly. The staff in the restaurant, the pool, the Ghee Store, the chairlift, and the General Store were super helpful and friendly. Overall, I would stay here again but probably only if the rate was good.

Resort is older, however clean. The front office staff and restaurant staff were amazing!! At Snorkles it seemed that their conversation was more important than the clients. Had a croissant that seemed like it was a week old. Amenities were the pool...from 12 to don't know but we were unable to use it. Everything was so quiet. Shut down before 9
-
Beautiful place. If you have mobility issues, you have to climb stairs to the front desk.
-
Serene, beautiful. Room was a little dusty. The shower soap covers kept coming up. To ride the lift up the mountain once was expensive.
-
We loved the quiet, private surroundings. Friendly staff.
-
Should have water available even in the winter due to the altitude!
-
Convenient and clean! We did not ski though because it's summer lol!
-
Was an amazing resort, will have to come back when there is snow on the ground.

Staff and food excellent

Thank you, great rooms, good coffee, and respectful staff!

A really nice clean establishment had really nice rooms was well worth the price

For the price being almost $200 a night, I was disappointed to find somebody else's food in the refrigerator, debris debris on the floor, and and noticable fingernail clippings on the carpet. However, the bed was made nice and the bathroom appeared very clean and well stocked with towels. I was able to use the very warm hot tub for about an hour before retiring for the night. The young man who checked me in was very kind and accommodating. The young lady who checked me out the next morning seemed distracted but perhaps was busy on the computer. I enjoyed the view outside of my patio and since I was visiting in the summer, perhaps the price point would have made more sense during ski season, but in the summer I didn't feel like it was the best value.

It was a beautiful property, very clean, room was nice, and the staff had nice personalities

Keep in mind if you are hiking Teton as I was it is at least an hour over the pass depending on traffic and trucks. Build that into your time when going to hike the park. It took me 2 1/2 hours from the south entrance of Yellowstone.

Beautiful view from the resort. Room was recently renovated. First room wasn’t clean but second room was. Hotel staff were pretty apathetic about your stay. Restaurant staff were very welcoming and helpful!

The Grand Targhee Resort is an awesome place to stay with great amenities!

I understand that ski resorts are notoriously expensive, and I expected to pay a premium for the location. Even with that in mind, I left wondering whether our time and money would have been better spent at a Hilton or another comparable hotel where the overall experience may have better matched the price.
