The room was perfect for our overnight before our cruise. The staff was very helpful. When I went to get some coffee and breakfast stuff the desk person helped me get back to my room without going in the pouring down rain. I really appreciated that.

This is an excellent place to stay!!! An older facility that looks as though it was freshly painted and spruced up moments before we arrived. Jerry at the front desk was very nice and helpful, as were all the staff we encountered. Clean, clean, clean and comfortable rooms. The air conditioner was blowing freezing cold air and it was 100 degrees outdoors. Absolutely recommend this hotel. We used it for the night before a cruise and it's an easy 30-40 min drive to the Galveston ports. The difference in the price between this hotel and a closer lodging is a LOT.

Upon entering, we discovered severe, active mold growth blooming directly on the interior fabric lining of the bedding and curtains. Furthermore, the bathroom appliances—including the hair dryer base and its power cords—were covered in dark mold spots. This is a blatant health code violation and completely unsafe for anyone to breathe in, let alone children. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk, they relocated us to a clean room for the night, acknowledging the issue. However, because of the severe lack of hygiene and maintenance, we chose to cut our trip short and check out early the next morning. To make matters worse, when checking out early and requesting a refund for the unused nights due to their failure to provide a safe, habitable environment, the front desk staff refused to handle the paperwork and deflected responsibility, claiming we had to handle it entirely through our booking platform. I have fully documented the mold with photographic evidence and am escalating this directly to corporate and my credit card company for a chargeback. Do not risk your family's health or your hard-earned money staying here. The property suffers from severe neglect and poor customer service.

Chunks of trash in the room upon entering. Sheets and blankets with human hair; needed to be replaced next day. Terrible smell inside the room; carpet old and unclean.

I was warmly greeted upon arrival. While a bit dated, the facility is clean and well maintained. The staff was pleasant and helpful throughout my stay. The pool lounge chairs should definitely be replaced, but not a joy killer. The only significant down was that the room had a dank smell. I opened the door in the the Texas heat hoping to air it out. Turning on just the fan setting when being out of the room helped, but the high condensation in external/internal temps did what physics do. Aside from that, I would visit again.

The man working that night was very friendly and helpful.

I have been staying here off and on for 3 months. The rooms are always clean. Never seen any bugs. Very well lit up at night. Security cameras around the building. I’m planning to continue staying here for work.

Great staff clean room comfortable stay pool breakfast will stay again

I like that I was able to park close to my room, the gentleman that checked us in was so sweet and when my coffee pot in my room didn’t work, they immediately brought me another one. The main thing I didn’t like about the property is the small selection of breakfast items. I wish they had a bit bigger selection.

This hotel is always a great place to stay, for multiple years now. Friendly staff, easy booking, no surprises--you can rest!
