The uniqueness of the hotel is why I chose to return a second time. Our trash in our room was not emptied during our stay.

Interesting historic place in the Amana village. No breakfast with room, only purchase.

Location was great - just a few minutes from shops and restaurants. The shower was huge - really liked it. Just could have used hand bars for stability.

The location was great, we could walk to many areas of the town. The building is VERY old which is cool, but it makes the rooms very humid. The air conditioner was great but blew directly over the bed, as it is mounted close to the ceiling, then you were freezing.

Stayed 3 nights. No housekeeping services. Had to go to the front desk or catch a cleaning staff person for toilet tissue, coffee pods, clean glasses…. First day asked for housekeeping, came took wet linens but didn’t leave any clean ones. No clean linens entire stay.

Large unique comfortable rooms crafted into the bones of the historic Amana Woolen Mill. Staff able to help with all the old german town has to offer.

It’s a really neat hotel. A ton of money was spent on the restoration and it is so well done. I would give it 5 stars but they didn’t insulate the walls and they are paper thin. Also the room we had was on the main floor and it smelled a little musty. The food in the restaurant was very good. I felt overall it was good value for the money and we did really enjoy the Amanas

Only recommendation would be to have a freezer with miscellaneous higher end microwavable options for sale for after hours.

Hands down one of the most unique, clean, and friendly, places I e stayed in my years of travel. The history just on the property alone could be a quick weekend getaway but surrounded by all of the other things to see in Amana this should be on everyone’s short list of places to visit and stay.
