Hyatt Place Buffalo/Amherst

The overall experience was good. Room was clean and the breakfast bar was average. We checked in after 7PM and the kitchen had closed down due to wedding preparations for the following day. We settled for an apple and banana at the fruit basket. The only thing that should be brought to the attention of management is the hotel information on the TV. It stated there was shuttle service to/from the Buffalo Airport. A week after our stay we found ourselves back in Buffalo due to an airline maintenance issue and that we needed to stay overnight in Buffalo. We contacted the Hyatt Amherst and they stated they no longer provide shuttle service and had discontinued the service over a year ago. I informed the person that management should update their TV infomercial.

Being a Hyatt I was expecting more I guess. Some staff great others ok. Breakfast was good not great . Room had. A dirty rag in the bathroom. I did tell staff cause it looked like dye on a wash cloth. I didn’t want to be charged for that. All they said was you won’t. Did t want to check anything in the bathroom.

The front desk was not very helpful! Being first time travelers they didn’t have too much information!

Spent the weekend there for a bachelorette and it was great. Breakfast was absolutely amazing.

Very clean inside and out. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is because one of the workers was a bit rude at the front desk.

The AC system is too loud likely outdated although the room is nicely furnished and clean. The water pressure was inadequate. The shower area should be upgraded. The bed mattress was clean but felt lumpy, should be replaced. Not a bad stay. There is a nice restaurant right next door. I would stay again on my return.

Even though it was close to the highway and airport it was quiet. Breakfast was an issue things kept running out plates and food and the staff moved at a slow pace almost dragging their feet, the floor in the food area and sitting was so sticky every single person walking on it I could hear their shoes sticking to the floor, never did I see someone walking around to clean the tables as they emptied. Housekeeping walked in without knocking first.

There was a team staying there at same time and took over the restaurant with their delivered pizza that we had to leave to go eat. When asked staff what was local they just handed a piece of paper and walked away no suggestions or anything.

The breakfast was somewhat dissapointing bc items ran out without replacement and it was not open as early as I needed it. The hotel no longer offers an airport shuttle which was not communicated until I needed it. The shower did not look clean.
