It was under construction. We lost power in the night

Ok, older property trying to dress it up.

Priced reasonably, kitchenette, a pool, could have brought my pets. Small repairs needed. Needs to come up a notch with the cleanliness. It wasn't filthy or disgusting but needed about 15-20 more minutes of attention.

It was so clean and beautiful! We had really loved our stay! The only complaint is the wifi kept going out on us

We've stayed at this particular location in the past, when it was part of other chains, most recently Ramada, I believe. The current owners are busy renovating the property and while it remains a work in progress, we were impressed with what's been done so far. Our room had been renovated and was very nice, an improvement on our most recent previous stay at the location. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast was fine (I'd suggest adding bagels or wheat bread to the options for toast). The hotel has an indoor pool that is large enough to allow for real exercise. I hope the owners will continued their efforts to remodel and improve the property and that travelers will give them a chance. We travel to the area frequently to visit family and will plan on staying there again.

It was still under renovation and was a mess. It had no functional backup power and we were without power and water Friday night. No refund

Hotel looks presentable through the images but when you arrive and it’s not what it seems. I was there for a whole week. When I first arrived. The room I got smelled of metallic/ rust. I got the suite room, expecting to cook for myself in the kitchen in the room which did not work. The next morning. I requested a new room they made sure I was in a better room that I was thankful to get through the week. I can see the potential but it needs a lot of work.

I’m gunna start with the fact that parts are still under construction (remodel). Our room was huge, but lacked a place for clothes (no dresser, no drawers anywhere or hangers even though there was a place that looked like it would be the “closet”. Our also didn’t have a hair dryer, a bath mat towel, or silverware (there were things to cook with & eat off but no utensils). NONE of this made much difference for us, it didn’t impact our stay in a negative manner & we would stay here again! Breakfast was simple, loved the waffle maker, good location not far from things at all (lots to do in either direction).

Had everything we needed! Comfortable!

Great experience! They're putting work in & we're looking forward to staying again in the future & seeing their progress. Beautiful room. Phenomenal shower. Comfortable bed. Great coffee. Everything was wonderful. And the price!? YES! Go! The front of the building is a little uninviting but stepping inside to check in immediately changes the perspective. Pleasantly surprised. The pool was freezing but they had ping pong, so.. win!

This place is still very much under renovations in some areas. Construction material very visible and rooms seemingly still being remodeled. The room itself looked new but was extremely pungent. Think glue fumes or heavy cleaner, no idea what but was so strong that we requested a refund as we could not think of remaining in the room for any amount of time.

Correct pour le prix.

When I booked the room, the website said that there would be a heated pool, full service restaurant, bar, and free wi-fi. The pool restaurant and bar will all being renovated and not available. The Wi-Fi was very sketchy. It was very difficult to watch a TV show. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very nice. When we went to get our complimentary breakfast, the food was fresh, hot, and tasty, but there was no hot water available for tea. When we asked for hot water, we were given warm tap water. We will never stay at the lake House resort in Angola again.

The pool was not open or the restaurant and bar! The place was still under renovation. At breakfast they had only scrambled eggs! Sausage gravy but no biscuits! No breakfast meat at all! They said it’ll be a year before the restaurant/ bar would be opened! The room was nice but the air conditioning was very noisy and the tub drained very slowly.

Hotel is in the middle of the remodel and there is no amenities except breakfast. That was what it was, understanding that the hotel is not busy since it is a work in progress. There is no cable tv and internet is very spotty. No ice machines were available. Also, there is no pool or gym due to the remodel. The rooms were clean. So for a quick stopover hotel is nice.

I need a full refund this place didn’t have hot water in the shower

This hotel is a dump. It shouldn’t have been allowed to be open until they actually complete whatever cheap remodel they are attempting. Place is disgusting and extremely misleading.ALL amenities are closed, “for renovation”, This hotel shouldn’t be allowed to operate until it is MUCH farther along in rehab and rebuild. Failed Ramada that is now a trash heap with lipstick and curtains. FILTHY. Don’t waste your money and heed this warning. Place is trash.

They are remodeling hot water took forever to warm up. Ac didn't work well. Open shelf between the beds fell off when I tried to use it to get up.
