While this is a historical venue I was disappointed with several things that I felt should have been much better for the price. We had a porch which was absolutely filthy with spiders, cobwebs, and dead bugs. They did send someone quickly to take care of this however it helped a little but there was still spiders and webs in the porch railings. The bathroom was small and we had an issue with the hot water not being hot part of one day. Not sure I'd recommend this to anyone for the price.

Great place!

Smooth check in and out. Historical building. Great spa. Fun activities. Tavern's food is overpriced for the quality of food and smell of the place. Bed and pillow are not the most comfortable.
-
A great piece of history. Rooms were clean and decorated nicely. Great golf course.

Bedford Resort is a beautiful place and top-notch spa. The hotel has so much historical charm and character which adds to its beauty. The resort offers many activities for couples and families to enjoy making it a nice place to enjoy a long weekend.

Very neat older hotel. Long walks to the outdoor pool from room which was challenging with younger travelers. Many amenities close early, such as food at the pool at 5pm. Staff was receptive and history was everywhere.

It was clean, bed was comfortable, and staff was friendly. I didn't want to submit this complaint in the moment because I was very frustrated and didn't want to be rude to whoever had the displeasure to speak to me at the time. 6 years ago I proposed to wife while we were at this resort to celebrate the 4 year anniversary of our relationship. We decided to return to celebrate our 5 year marriage anniversary and to enjoy some alone time as our "baby moon", as we are 36 weeks pregnant with our first child. We opted for in-room dining as we decided it would be more intimate and would not require a long walk for my wife, and both nights our order was wrong and was delivered cold. The first night it was disappointing, but we're not usually ones to complain, so we kept to ourselves and ate what we could anyway. (My wife's grilled tacos had pineapple on them, which was not mentioned on the menu and my wife is allergic to them, and I ordered the "Tavern Burger - well done" and received a plain hamburger that was undercooked) The second night, we were going to go out to dinner, but my wife was exhausted after her spa treatment (where we spent another $700+), so we decided to again order from the in-room dining menu as she wasn’t up to traveling somewhere for dinner. I tried my hand at ordering the "Tavern Burger" from the in-room dining menu again because I was looking forward to what I ordered the first night but receive incorrectly. This time I read what is meant to be on the burger directly from the in-room dining menu to confirm that I would receive the correct order; to which the person taking my order said, "yes, that is what comes on the 'Tavern Burger'", only for it to be delivered as a plain, undercooked hamburger AGAIN. (My wife's salmon was good though). To say the least, after spending close to $2,000 to celebrate our anniversary and baby moon, on what we expected to be a very nice experience at a high class resort, both meals were ruined.

Beautiful hotel and pool. The grounds and activities were fantastic. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful, however the valet men had a bit of an attitude and were not helpful at all.

We really enjoyed our stay exceeded all of our expectations. Whether it be a slow walk through the ground floor of the hotel, and reading all about the history that has happened in those walls or the exceptional service, attention to detail around every corner. A true experience in great memories, beautiful property.
