Very clean! Awesome staff!! Shuttle Driver Andre was amazing and Nix at the front desk was a pleasure to work with! Will visit again!

The location is great. The valet team walked away from my car-door open, car running. When I commented on this I was told, “It’s Birmingham, it’s fine.” While I can appreciate the comfort of Birmingham feeling safe, leaving someone’s vehicle running with the key in and door open is not appropriate. The service in the restaurant was awful. Brought out wrong food. Didn’t bring beverages. Brought out wrong food again. Was never asked how our food was when we finally got it and very, very slow and the restaurant was not busy. For the price point service should be better.

Gorgeous room, however we had specifically requested the room with the kitchenette…room does not come with any plates, cutlery, cookware etc. Had to request it twice from the concierge and we had a rusty and greasy pan delivered to us from the kitchen. We didn’t end up using the kitchenette at all because we thought that was quite gross and what we were paying for the hotel it just didn’t add up. Second, having a blow dryer without a diffuser and a budget hairdryer at that …again for such an expensive hotel was really disappointing. HOWEVER despite all of this, the staff and room itself was very nice and clean. They also had a guest snack and beverage bar on each of the floors which was provided for free. I think The Daxton would benefit from paying attention to the little things to make the guest experience that much better. PS we loved the bikes!

Location Outlet and usb outlets on either side of the bed did not work . Thermostat stayed at 72 even tho we set it at 67. The gym floor was extremely slippery so whatever they are using to clean it, was not the appropriate cleaner for that floor (we heard others comment about the floor as well ) the women’s restroom near the gym was full of bugs that were coming from the drain (they were on the walls , toilet, mirror and in the sink . Definitely not a 655.00 a night facility !

Greg the night desk staff is amazing. I arrived from airport and was in car accident and got in late and had to extend stay. He went above and beyond to change my room so I could sleep in late and not have to change rooms. I also had an incident leaving 4 am Saturday and thought I left wallet in room. He went to room searched and even was going to have pilots on way to airport bring it to me. Way above and beyond. Always remembered me by name. Hotel was super clean and room spacious and bed incredibly comfortable. Convenient location with happening bar but yet super quiet up in hallways and rooms. Excellent would stay again.
