Historic. Good bf

Breakfast very disappointing. Very little choice. Nothing warm except the coffee. China cups would do better than paper. Have had far better breakfasts at airport hotels. We went out the second morning to Mae's Cafe nearby for a real breakfast. Check-in was not as advertised. The email with our room number & entry code did not arrive before we did. The shaky, antique elevator belongs in a museum, not a 4- floor hotel. A modern version should be installed. The shaft is there. Constantly ringing for an operator was tiresome. Reception is not always staffed so waiting was not ideal.

Exceptional

This lovely inn is a unique experience. I loved the building and furnishings, and my dog and I enjoyed exploring the garden area. The people were helpful and friendly, and breakfast was nice. I did have a little trouble with the electronic lock on the door to my room, but was eventually able to get in each time. Also, I couldn’t find a remote for the TV in the room, and when I called the phone number for assistance, the voice mailbox was full so I couldn’t leave a message. I didn’t care that much about watching TV so I didn’t bother to follow up.

We loved our stay at the Brandon Inn. It was just a one night stopover for us but wish we had more time there. Would definitely stay again.

Clean room and baths. Wall paper and furniture somewhat dated but comfortable. Location is great and staff was helpful.

1. No shades on windows in room or bathroom that faced the front of the Inn 2. Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable 3. Shower water was tepid - no hot water 4. The air from the air conditioner blew directly onto the bed 5. The music from karaoke could be heard in the room, including pounding bass, until 9:30 We were quite disappointed.

It was great to stay in a historic building and see old artefacts exposed. Super interesting and cozy stay!

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout my stay. While the inn is a beautiful historic home filled with marble floors and intricate architectural details, I was pleasantly surprised that my room also had some of the best air conditioning I've ever slept with.The staff are exceptionally kind, the historic property is full of beautiful details, and the marble floors add to its charm.The inn itself is a beautiful historic property with marble floors and gorgeous details throughout.

This place sounds great on paper. But when you arrive, there are quirks. Lots of quirks. The decor is an odd mix of old and new. The digital keypad to enter the room is not intuitive. The “shower” (which was a large elevated whirlpool with a spray hose) had very poor water pressure. And the list goes on. The one positive was the value. But I guess you get what you don’t pay for!

Liked that it was easy to find and that breakfast was included. Liked the "heritage" aspect of an old hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious but dated, a little worn around the edges. The elevator was a surprise! Adequate breakfast, but I wish there had been a better selection of fresh pastries and bread. Bathroom was small compared to the size of the room and definitely could use some updates. The sink got in the way of using the mirror (was to the side, not over the sink). And the TV wasn't placed in front of the bed but off to the side, so you had to turn sideways in bed to watch. Even though I thought the elevator was interesting, the property could do with a modern elevator.

Two rooms reserved, neither had hot water in the shower. One room was infested with flies. Actually decided to check out a day early.

So much character to the inn, definitely loved it and would return. The location is phenomenal too, very cute town. I gave it a 4 versus a 5 because when we arrived no one at the desk to check us in but there was a sign to go into the dining room for check in. Whelp, not a soul to be found. We walked around the downstairs area for a good 15min asking people if they worked there 🙄. Finally got a yes and the young woman was not immediately attentive nor apologetic. I would definitely stay there again and not let that one issue deter me.

Outstanding location and we love the breakfast. Also a very quaint elevator which staff were more than willing to assist us with to bring our luggage up to the fourth floor room.

Pillows are way too hard

Once a grand dame, the Brandon Inn hasn't lost its charm. From riding in the oldest elevator in Vermont to it's beautiful dining areas, she stands proud. Our room had 3 beds and separate bedrooms. The pool, while chilly, was a great place for the kids to unwind. Breakfast was a lost opportunity. This could have been a distinguishing feature, but felt like rading the pantry and refrigerator for whatever looked appealing.
