Well built and seemingly quite new or recently reconstructed hotel, located on the edge of a lively center in Brunswick. Everything that was promised has been delivered, and we had a nice room and comfortable beds. Even a breakfast service was possible, albeit limited. Coffee and tea on the floor during breakfast times is a nice plus. Indoor fitness has also been a plus during our stay. Nothing really. If I need to mention something: we liked that the hotel provided recyclable (i.e. not plastic) cutlery for the snacks but the wooden and cardboard alternatives provided do have disadvantages as well (taste and feel mostly). Maybe find a solution to provide the real thing.

My husband and I loved the location of the hotel - an easy walk to downtown with lots of restaurant options. The hotel was very clean, cozy and charming. Our hotel room was smaller than we had expected. It would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room.

Everything about our stay was top notch. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful and clean. They even located a brand new jacket I left behind and mailed it to my home. Hope to return next time we are in the area. We enjoyed everything about The Federal.

Technically walkable though you have to play some frogger at federal st Cheap/old tile work in the shower meant it was guaranteed to leak upon use. The incredible amount of road noise.
