Bad

I didn’t only because the first day I walked in to a roach. The room was dirty. The rug was so dirty my niece cought a really bad allergic reaction so bad that she was unable to sleep the whole night. I went to the staff & they didn’t do anything. Next day the ladies that were by the reception helped me, she listened. She moved us to a better & cleaner room. Thanks to her the rest of the stay was great. Overall if it wasn’t for her I would’ve left. My niece health is more important then loosing money.

Breakfast was good though it wasn’t mentioned at check-in and we had to search for it. There was running water in the bathroom sink the entire stay. Maintenance didn’t fix or come back. The room wasn’t clean or comfortable.

We were offered a complimentary upgrade from our standard room, which we initially appreciated, but I honestly wish we had kept the standard room. The upgraded room smelled strongly of mildew, there was mold throughout the inside of the shower, and wallpaper was peeling in multiple areas. The doors to both rooms looked like they were about to fall off. One did not align properly, and the chains and damaged-looking locks reminded me more of a low-end hotel than a resort. The beds were uneven and the mattresses were extremely lumpy. I woke up with neck pain and both shoulders hurting. The staff was also not particularly friendly. The most disappointing interaction was with a woman who identified herself as a weekend director. She asked how we were enjoying our stay and what my family thought. I wasn't even through my first sentence before she pulled out her phone and stopped paying attention. After an awkward wait, she said her boss was messaging her, thanked me for the feedback, and walked away. If you don't actually want to hear about guest satisfaction, please don't ask. The one positive was breakfast, which was good. We chose to eat our other meals elsewhere. Overall, the property felt poorly maintained and uncomfortable. We ultimately chose to cut our family weekend short and go home rather than spend another night there.

Completely outdated. Switched rooms 3x. Items broken: thermostat, remote, curtain rod, bathroom tiles, telephone, lampshade. Adjoining room door had 2"gap at top & bottom so guests entire conversation was heard at 12am. Actually heard the neighbors complain about the hotel being extremely run down and their filthy toilet that the male guest didn't even want to sit on! Wouldn't recommend staying in the main hotel ever. It was a total waste of almost $400. Only got about 4-5 hours sleep after switching rooms, 3x, listening to the neighbors argue thru the door and being aggravated over everything that was broken or missing. Had to sleep with desk chair against the door, since the chain lock was missing the last link to secure it. Extremely disappointed!! Stay elsewhere!!

I would not stay at this hotel again. It is in desperate need of renovation and deep cleaning.

Villa Roma is a time capsule in the complete opposite sense. The decor is dated. The amenities (when they're open - they run on an esoteric schedule and an even more convoluted ticket-based economic system) are shabby, including a zipline not even Tim Robinson would touch. The rooms are very run-down and missing basic features - the windows were only outfitted with blackout curtains & a sheer privacy screen would have been nice. Raising concerns to the front desk will find you up against a brick wall of intransigent, inhospitable attitude. My partner and I sought directions to the go-kart track, and after a shuttle ride over, learned the attraction required tickets that must be purchased at the same front desk from whence we came. Upon trodding back to the desk, the concierge seemed befuddled that we requested directions because we actually wanted to ride the go-karts. Listen, I'm a grown adult, and if I want to ride go-karts, that's my god-given right. (Meanwhile, a lady next to us wanted to book an extra room and was directed to an app. I guess they have some modern features here?) Villa Roma would benefit from upgrading their amenities and room features and providing adequate customer service while maintaining their nostalgic, time-capsule charm.

Bowling alley needs some attention

Dining and entertainment was frustrating. Everything is done with QR code. We went out for dinner. We were too frustrated with the process

No lock on slider, faucet leaked, pillowcases smelled musty. You must park across a local Rte. and roll your luggage across the road! I was so grossed out, that I didn’t even shower. Just a complete dump! Run as fast as you as you can! RED RUM

very cool vibe in the hotel and on the grounds!

The staff at the front desk were not overly friendly. The Villa Roma needs to be desperately updated. The door would not close tightly

The halls smell of mold, the room smell of mold, the door to the room doesn’t stay closed unless you lock it, and even then it’s not 100% closed so you hear everyone that passes by. The shower head was dripping constantly, and on the plastic surface you could hear it very loudly. A maintenance person that came said he can’t fix it and suggested we put a towel under it to muffle the sound…… We decided we’ll stay positive and make the best of it but I was happy to leave and try to remember the fun and not think of whatever it was we breathed while staying there. Will NOT return
