Clean but with very strong smell of cleaning products, more like motel, very basic, great access to the river and has a small playground
-
To access the river you have go down a bunch of steps causing access to the river to not be ideal for elderly or small children. Overall a good overnight stay.

The room was very clean and spacious with an amazing view, the TV and AC both worked as expected and kept the room cozy. The large fridge and microwave were convenient! We only saw one other guest during our stay, which gave a very secluded vibe

Just a beautiful scenery and

all good

The view from our front door was wonderful. The sounds from the busy traffic on the highway right behind us, not so much. The rooms were clean and the shower was exactly as described. The downside was taking a cold shower ten minutes after getting in. The air conditioner was definitely in need of repair. When I mentioned this to the staff they stated they already knew about this and would request maintenance fix it. For the price it was acceptable but not remarkable.

What a gem this place is! I have now booked here twice, once for girls weekend and now for family weekend with 2 littles. Town is about a 20-30 drive but it doesn't feel like it at all and there are so many activities to do in New Braunfels, Seguin and Gruene. From splash pads, river tubing, parks, restaurants, hiking trails, antique/boutique shops, etc. there is so much to do. I highly recommend Hideout at the Horseshoe for a getaway- its magical!

Property was awesome

5 stars! We were hoping for a rustic cabin by the river, and we absolutely loved what we found! The cabin was spotless and looked like it had been freshly updated. A special bonus was the river access, complete with a stone-paved patio and communal grills. The staff was professional and super responsive. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with an amazing view! I’m already looking forward to coming back.

The cabins were very peaceful and clean. The staff was super responsive as well. Areas to consider - the cabin had was drawers to put our belongings and paper towels for the kitchen. Also, maybe label shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Everything else was great!
-
It was secluded, not too many other people in the area. Check in and check out was so easy! No issues at all! Could have used an extra blanket, it got cold and the blanket we had was a bit thin.

Room was very clean and well kept. Easy check in as well

Staff was helpful upon arrival and the location was perfect for a girls getaway. The only drawback we observed was how thin the walls were. Overall would love to come back for another girls trip!

Feb 15-17 we decided to stay in the San Jacinto. There was no mention of the steep walkway that you had to take from the parking lot to the cabin. I feel this is definitely something that should be mentioned it the description, just like the stairs are mentioned. She didn’t even want to leave the cabin after I got her inside because of how hard it was to even get to the car. The cabin and the whole property is amazing. I love that you are right on the water. I went paddle boarding every day I was there. I am already planning my next trip with my husband. I just wished there had been something about the steep walk from the parking lot to the cabin so i could have booked one that my mother would have been able to enjoy. I checked the property map and everything before our trip and it did not show that there wasn’t parking in front of the cabin I booked.

The cabin was architecturally lovely, and very clean. Generally a convenient location for hill country exploration. We were surprised and disappointed by how close we were to a noisy, busy road. Furnishing was sparse: no bedside tables, no shelves or drawers to put things for a longer stay, not a single towel rod or hook in the bathroom. Not a comfortable chair anyplace except one recliner in the loft. There’s a full-sized fridge, which might be useful for a longer stay, but no kitchen supplies which might also be useful- we had to buy bowls, spoons & napkins just so we could have our own breakfasts. Wouldn’t it make sense to at least offer a rental package of tableware & such?

Great value, good location and really high quality rooms and finishes

we liked the view from the terrace. wall between our room and our next door neighbor should be better insulated. We could hear them talk at 11 pm when we wanted to sleep.
