Hotel Anthracite

Great stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was easy and enjoyable. Would definitely stay again!

The TV is a nightmare and doesn't work as advertised. All the rest of the srat was fine.

Hotel staff excellent. Front desk staff friendly & accommodating. Breakfast buffet was very good & waitress service excellent. Clean hotel & room. Close to wedding venue. Very very hard & uncomfortable bed & pillows. I've slept on firm mattresses before but never experienced hard lumpy mattress like they have AND hard pillows too!)

Very clean well managed great staff I stayed there for 12 days straight and it was a gem of a hotel clean clean clean and comfortable the only thing this great hotel doesn’t have is a hot tub/jacuzzi Everything

The hotel was good , however the restaurant needed improvement. Very little food at breakfast.

We were visiting in the Honesdale area and it was by far the nicest place to stay in the area. Convenient covered parking on site, lovely outdoor patio, convenient to Lackawanna River walking trail. Room was spacious and very clean and made up every day. The included breakfast was adequate but poorly or understaffed as items like juice and silverware were not replenished without asking. I would recommend hotel to anyone staying in the area and would stay there again should the occasion arise.

If you are looking for a hotel outside the usual chains, this is a great choice. We stayed for one night with my daughter and it was overall excellent. The hotel is the only one in town, it is on Main street. The town is small but the surroundings are beautiful, rolling hills, forests and lakes. The courtyard and lobby were welcoming and nicely decorated, the staff very helpful- the evening desk manager gave us a great recommendation for dinner at Frank's place a few minutes away. The room was clean and the furnishing was fine, the beds were comfortable, the place was quiet (our room overlooked the courtyard). The breakfast is included, it is quite copious but I was surprised that there was no bread. There is a covered parking and free wifi.

What an amazing gem! Facility is outstanding. Stopped for the night passing through and was quite impressed. Clean, newly remodeled. Would def stay again!!! I really liked everything. No negatives.

I liked the convenient (and free) parking, the landscaping in the courtyard, the elevator, the clean room, good-working (and quiet) air-conditioner (& controlled by a thermostat on wall), a good bed with a variety of bed pillows, nice big tub-shower, with convenient pump bottles of shampoo, body wash, etc, and easy room check-out. :)

It was clean and the people were grade A Nothing

Our only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. Although there was a nice selection of hot items, including French toast, eggs, sausage, and potatoes, they were all served cold. We hope this was just an isolated issue, as it was the only negative aspect of an otherwise enjoyable stay.
