Hampton Inn Chicago-Carol Stream

Overall this was a nice hotel. The pool is a good size and the hangout lobby was nice and big. It felt modern. Elevators were quick. Beds were just ok, most of our friends complained in the morning. Room AC was nice and cold. My personal complaint was the breakfast. Very mediocre for the price we paid for the room. Also on a very busy highway sometimes hard to exit.

Front desk needs more training

Check in was easy and the gentleman at the desk friendly and informative. The hotel was clean and kept up well. The breakfast contained a variety of hot and cold food offerings. The room contained most everything one would need (no coffee maker, but coffee and tea were available all day on the first floor) and the bed comfortable. The floor should have been cleaner.

Air conditioning leaked all over half the room leaving the floor soak and wet, and nobody did anything about it

We were very happy with our room! The bed was big and comfy, the A/C unit and fridge were very cold and our floor was quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again!

upon arrival i was presented with disgruntle staff and a lobby full of unsatisfied customers. the system was down so they werent able to check anyone into any rooms, when assigned a room it was with a key card so you had to leave your room unlocked or wedged open due to limited staff with master key cards for the rooms. property was recently renovated so its clean.

Room was very clean. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Large bathroom with easy in and out walk in shower with glass doors. Very nice.

Easy, free and abundant parking. Clean facilities.. Big echo in pool area. Had to ask front desk for clean pool towels.

What was there to stop someone from coming in that door and following someone on the elevator which is right inside the door? The woman was very dismissive-I said they I will not be staying there anymore-which is sad because other than that I like the hotel.

Location Lobby and public spaces were under construction. It will probably be fine when it’s done.

Newly renovated hotel. Very nice stay. Just be aware that renovations are still in process on 1st floor entrance area.

Breakfast should have more protein and vegetarian food but unfortunately don’t have enough choice.

Location to Wheaton College was good We were unaware that they were remodeling.

We traveled here in June 2026. I’ve stayed here multiple times and it is consistently comfortable. The lobby was under construction, so the breakfast area was in a meeting room. The large water container wasn’t always filled for guests like it usually is when it’s located in the lobby area.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Carol Stream this past weekend, our room was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful. The indoor pool was great, breakfast was hot and tasty each morning. The only complaint we had is that our air conditioning was leaking water all over the floor in our room. We did alert the staff to this, and they had maintenance come up to fix it. Unfortunately the a/c continued to leak all over the floor, so the entire area around the air conditioning and couch were fully soaked with cold water. Other than that, we did enjoy our stay here.

Handy for Chicago games Nice staff Good selection for breakfast No bar No kettle or facilities to make tea ( it’s a British thing!) Location great for event ( Highland Games) but other than that it’s on a highway which isn’t ideal
