Chautauqua Harbor Hotel - Jamestown

We had a wonderful stay at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel. The views of the water are absolutely gorgeous, and the entire property is exceptionally clean and well-kept. The staff was welcoming, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. We can’t wait to come back!

Exceptional

peaceful location, out of the way of city noise. great outdoor facility. live music outdoor patio and bar. I was disappointed with the restaurant food we had for dinner. It was not great. I would eat out next time I stay.

Immaculate property and everything is so well thought out. Coffee is available every morning on each floor. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. Great restaurant and bar too. Beautiful views.

This hotel is well appointed with friendly staff, clean rooms and clean public areas. Rooms are nicely done and very comfortable. Outdoor spaces have a beautiful view of the lake.

The property is lovely. Derek the bartender is their best employee, and he is fantastic. They promised coffee on every floor in the morning starting at 6am. On neither day was their coffee on our floor. When we questioned it in the lobby, we were told it should have been there. Well, they didn't even have it in the lobby until 8:30. No one even offered to look into it. When we mentioned it at checkout, the front desk person simply said, "I'm sorry." Also, the kitchen was dreadfully slow. These may sound like little things, but when the hotel is charging top dollar, it should deliver on what it advertises and should be more eager to please. Their hotel in Clayton, NY is managed way more efficiently.

Exceptional

Great location on lake, friendly staff, large comfortable room. Very firm mattress, large bathroom and shower. The restaurant onsite was overpriced and had mediocre food. The town of Celoron is terribly depressed and nearby houses are truly run down.

Staff are very polite. The hotel looks new both In and out and was very clean. Coffee and tea are always available as well. We had dinner at the on site restaurant and though the food was ok it wasn’t up to grade with the rest of the facility. Would definitely stay again.

The outside area is exceptional with fire pits, ample seating areas, an outside bar, and a beautiful view of the lake. The food was very good though a bit pricey. Our bed and pillows were top notch and the room was tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. There were a few hiccups during our stay. The safe and tv didn’t work properly but were remedied quickly. We had to repeatedly ask for fresh towels and washcloths. The shower shampoo conditioner was empty. Some mornings the coffee station was late being set up. One night at 8:30 we went to the bar but left after waiting 10 minutes. There were many patrons at the bar, the bar top was full of dirty glasses and there was no bartender there to serve us. As we were leaving we saw that he was on the outside patio clearing tables. My husband and I surmise that staff shortages are an issue at the hotel.
