The best parts about the stay was the beautiful view and the comfortable beds and pillows and a clean room that smelled wonderful. The bathrooms are shared with your floor, but they seem to be kept clean which is awesome so we didn’t mind at all. Unfortunately, service is cold and left much to be desired. We felt like a nuisance ordering cocktails and food at the bar and restaurant and had to find someone to take our order every time. Our room was not ready at 3pm check-in time. There was nobody at reception during check-out time. Service was slow, inattentive, and unfriendly. The hotel doesn’t compensate for parking on Route 1 or the CTC ferry ride to the hotel which I think would be a nice touch given the amount it costs to book a room with the Inn. The continental breakfast options were limited mainly to cold and old croissants and untoasted bagels (however it was free!). The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are pretty, and the building historic so maybe they don’t feel the need to up their hospitality game. But with some serious tweaks this place could be 5 star material.

Amazing staff

Cons: cocktail sauce ewww, bikes… a total joke and dangerous, the cheesecake not good, the fact that a pack of men partied all night and we got 0 sleep on a random Thursday night?! The biggest con was when we answered staff when they asked they didn’t really care, definitely felt like a number

It’s a great stay for the location of the island. It has an old cozy feel. The room was adorable and cozy. We had a water view. There are areas that need worked on and it could be amazing. They need some new bikes for sure.

It was delicious. Good positions, well prepared, and courteously served. The owners need to update all porch furniture. Put shade curtains on the patio and in the breakfast area. The sun was hot and blinding and we had to move inside for comfort. There needs to be lawn seating with umbrellas so people can enjoy a beverage or conversation outside. Instead of shabby chic, the patio looks poor. There was a noticeable lack of a manager on duty in the morning. All questions were deflected by on duty staff with the promise of getting back to us. The bicycles are old and in disrepair. We tried to ride them and gave up. They all need to be replaced. We tried to go to the beach with the shuttle and were told there was no one to take us. Need more shuttle drivers. All rooms need a split air conditioner/heater…or at least a fan in the room

We had a late arrival and the two young gentlemen were waiting at the dock and they helped my sister and I with all our bags. The entire property was very clean and there were incredible views of the water and golf course. Looking forward to returning!

You could see that they were just open a week and still trying to understand what it changed on the island for services. Website was not as informational as others what

It’s a great place to get away from it all and enjoy beautiful views on the wrap around porch. The food is delicious. The place is laid back and quite lovely. I will be going back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here…. One of the Highlights of our Trip! The Serene setting & Island TYME vibe … Made the perfect Setting for an Epic Adventure!

Charming and easy access to the Golf Course

Great place to go and relax for a few days.

Great, old-style Maine island inn. The beadboard walls, wraparound porch, comfy furniture and spectacular views all add up to make it feel like a classic Maine getaway. The staff is amazing, and attended to our every need. Can't wait to go back!

2 nights as a couple while the kids are away. The location and hotel surroundings are nice, but the rooms are old and not well maintained. There is however a great porch with ocean views

In saying all this, the inn needs some TLC. Our room had paint chipping on the walls and all around the shower. The shower head was awful. There isn’t a main door to the front desk and the one our driver brought us in was like we were walking into a shed, very weird . We will go back to the restaurant but we wouldn’t stay over.

Amazing views, excellent restaurant on site, staff was very friendly. A little pricey, and the shared bathrooms (for the entire floor) were not ideal. This is a step back in time so you are there for the experience, a nice stay at an historic hotel property.

Met our expectations

Charming old inn with great porch sitting overlooking the water. Food and drinks were great. Good value overall. The plantings around the porch are too high, obscuring the great view in many places. We didn't receive housekeeping while we were there. The bikes were unsafe (brakes didn't work) - better not to provide them.

Breakfast could have been better.cold hard muffins and no fruit.

The staff was great, we had an excellent dinner, and the porch and "living room" of the Inn are great places to hang out. The rooms desperately need updating even just to replace rusty furniture. The room also wasn't very clean, including noticeable amounts of hair on the floor and a greasy mirror hanging in the bedroom.

The view is amazing, the staff so friendly and helpful. Lovely The room can get a little warm at night. Was hoping there would be bikes to use at the Inn, apparently there never are any.
