Best Western Colfax

Ughh where do I begin, the property is so poorly maintained and unsanitary. We were first given a room without curtains, we were switched to a room with a giant sticky stain in front of the door, trash and food waste under beds, ants climbing all over the breakfast area, everything was sticky and dirty looking… we were woken up at 6am on a Saturday morning by a false fire alarm. The front desk staff are unfriendly, borderline rude and honestly do not know what they were doing… breakfast ran out of coffee, ran out of eggs, the woman managing it all seemed completely overwhelmed, 30minutes later, eggs were still not refilled. Save yourself the trouble, do not stay here.. oh outside had a ton of trash piled of old mattresses and furniture, such a weird sight… shower had someone else’s long hair stuck to the wall… hotels.com app has it listed at 8.8.. I would say it’s closer to a 5.8 or lower

Our room had ants, the tv entertainment table had dust and crumbs, the bathroom vanity had stains, the walls had gunk. The shower floor had lint, it seemed like it wasn’t cleaned before given to us. The fire alarms went off at 6am. When checking out, the guy at front desk was wearing headphones and seemed bothered to help me check out. He didn’t get up from where he was seated (which was about 10ft from front desk) removed one headphone and told me to leave the room key at the desk, no further information or help to check out. It was a mess.

The breakfast room had very tiny ants on the food counter. The staff would monitor it and did state they are aware of the issue and could not find the location of entry. The breakfast room was clean and welcoming other than the issue listed above. The food selection was good; however, the biscuits were room temperature. A microwave is needed in the breakfast area to heat up the food that it needs to be warm. We ate breakfast the first morning at the hotel and went out for breakfast the remaining days due to the items listed above. The rooms were clean and nice; however, the shower needs addition cleaning care. Parking was good.

We stay there when we go visit relatives in the area. We have been there a few times. This is a very nice, clean hotel with a good breakfast

Nice, cost effective hotel in Colfax. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was quite good for a hotel complementary meal. I would stay there again

Helpful and friendly check-in and check out.

Plenty of parking, however if you return to hotel after 9pm, you might have only few selections left a little farther from building. We felt very safe nevertheless.

Very quiet slept well

Same quality we usually expect from a Best Western. The waffle maker was a big hit!

Clean and spacious room. The breakfast was nice and it was just an all aroind good stay.

The second room was great. The bed and pillows were both just the right amount of squishy. Everything in the room functioned as expected. The only complaint I have is that you can't set the motor on the air condition to run consistently (even on auto mode) so it cycles very loudly throughout the night. Not the end of the world once I put on some white noise but it could be very annoying to someone else. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. It was just right for what I needed and in a really convenient location to the freeway. Excellent job folks!

They had a room open Coffee tasted day old. Weak breakfast

Clean, staff was very kind and helpful. The power went out and the generator didn’t turn on.

Convenient location Outside grounds had broken bottles and trash

Generator could have been ready when electricity went out instead of using a vehicle to charge battery, a/c was noisy, bathroom had rust, light in bathroom would not turn off.

Nice stat. Right off highway. Easy

Bed and pillows. Clean and nice condition.
