SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western McGuire AFB Jackson

One of the most disappointing reservations ever , I mean the standards of doing business in america has gone way down since American business owners are a minority. The hotel industry has definitely gone to shit. Honest feedback for sake of honest accountability. And pet friendly is definitely a loosely used word because charging somebody and also having a limited number of pet friendly rooms does not make pet friendly in my mind . Opinions or opinions and reviews are reviews so read it and weep. I guess it just really depends on who's leaving the review. 💯😁

We booked this hotel because it was close to the Air Force Base, the shore, and they allow pets. The pictures they showed online are not reflective to the state of the hotel. There are no ceiling tiles in the hallway ceiling. All the wires, piping, and dust are exposed and you walk through it every time you go to your room bring it in there. The remodel is done in the bathroom, but not done correctly. They attempted to paint over the mold, which is now coming through the paint they used, and the caulking going around the quarter round that they used to try to seal the gap at the top of the shower is also showing mold. The water from the shower was incorrectly installed, hot water coming out of cold water tap and cold out of hot. The sheets that were on our bed had bodily stains larger than the size of a small orange. There is no excuse for why they would use these sheets over again. The staff was nice but room service did not come to our room once during the five day stay, I had to collect our trash and take it out myself, vacuum my own room, and I had to go to them and asked for replacement towels. The pool area was nice and well maintained, but the hot tub does not work anymore so it’s just a small pool attached to the larger pool. But the worst part of the whole stay was that they charge us $40 a night for our pet to stay there, $40 and they did not come to our room once to clean. I tired to handle this thru BW and management, but they still have not reached out.

The ceilings had open wiring in the hallways and the room had several bugs while I was there. Other occupants were extremely loud during my stay and there was loud music being played in the parking lot for hours one night. The staff was friendly and helpful but I would not stay there again

This property is older, but has been renovated, to some degree. Some updates are pretty good. However, the carpet was gross, it wasn’t the cleanest, we were missing a shower curtain and all toiletries initially, the adjacent room was very easy to hear (noisy, like thin walls/door), and the breakfast was below the normal Best Western quality that I have experienced. It wasn’t the worst place, but I wouldn’t recommend.

Everybody was nice

Breakfast was good. Clean room and comfortable bed.

The room smelled somewhat weird.. very outdated, very poorly maintained . Pool and breakfast was nice.

The bathroom was also not clean upon arrival (see attached photos). The only positive part of our experience was the front desk staff, who were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, because of the condition of the room, we will not be staying here again.

Older Hotel not maintained very good the breakfast is okay the people that ran it were very nice but they need to update a lot of that furniture the beds was harder to rock and some of the actual fixtures and everything were from Lake the 80s

Our room was not cleaned after our first night- not sure if we had to request cleaning? The water pressure in our shower was a bit low- also, the hot and cold were reversed. Just some minor things here and there that could be improved but all in all, our stay was fine- it was our first experience at a SureStay Plus by Best Western.

The one good thing about my stay was that the staff were nice. I would not book here again.

Let’s talk about cleanliness we give an honest 0 the bathtub was yellow, it had a type of mat that was dirty and slippery. Even the bathroom that are not in the room itself are extremely dirty the toilet bowl was yellow. Overall for the price we expected better.

Room was decently clean, the shower did need some more deep cleaning though as it had dirt stains on the floor. Breakfast was not bad at all. Parking was easy and accessible.
