I recently stayed at Red Roof Inn and had a good overall experience. Check-in was quick, the staff was friendly and helpful, and my room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet, conveniently located, and offered good value for the price. I would stay there again and recommend it to travelers looking for an affordable, comfortable place to stay.

Booked this hotel because I was trying to save money to get some sleep for a few hours. there was an odor in the room that was off-putting but we dealt with it. no major issues and nothing fancy. just a bed a tv and a bathroom. exactly what I needed
-
Walls were peeling patches on the walls bathroom need updating also
-
Sheets had burn marks on them Bathroom had mold and part of the ceiling in the shower was peeling off dressers were damaged beds were to soft to sleep in. They charged me twice the amount of what I paid for an extra night

We booked in a non-smoking room at a hotel we anticipated being on the low end of tolerable, but was a less expensive option than others in the area (were there for a sport tournament) due to the US Open and other Summer happenings on Long Island. We were booked in a smoking room and I immediately called the Red Roof Inn to change to a non-smoking room. We were met with the response that they were fully booked and there was nothing they could do. When we got there, the room reeked of smoke and we asked the desk again for support. They were not helpful at all. My wife ended up sleeping in the car because it was so intolerable. The room was dirty, linens stained (I slept on top of the covers) and the odor was offensive and never dissipated. Thank God for Expedia who helped us cancel the second night and refund us as I don't know what we would have done if a second night was required. Expedia helped us find a much nicer room closer to the tournament - it cost a bit more but well worth it. DO NOT stay here if you want a clean, odor-free environment and a welcome desk that is helpful!

Not well staffed. They tried to give me a smoking room when I asked for non smoking and then gave me an issue about switching.

While I expected some smoke odor in a smoking room, my husband and I felt compelled to wipe down multiple surfaces ourselves with disinfectant wipes and Lysol because there was visible smoke residue on furniture and fixtures that should have been cleaned by housekeeping. I then noticed burn marks on the bedding, including the fleece blanket. I called the front desk to request clean sheets and an extra pillow but was told that housekeeping had already left and nothing could be provided. To make matters worse, the television in the room did not work. An employee came to the room, initially stating he had never seen this issue before, but later mentioned that another room was experiencing the same problem. He took the information needed to contact DirecTV and told us he would call them and return. After waiting approximately 15 minutes with no update, my husband went to the front desk. At that point, a different employee informed him that the previous employee had left and that she could not assist us. We were also told that no compensation would be offered. When checking out, I again discussed these concerns with staff and requested partial compensation.

Honestly the only complaint I have is the free coffee has grinds in it...I even tried to show the staff how to save that pot, we just had to run the coffee thru the coffee filter again and it would take out the coffee grinds, but staff didn't wanna hear it....(it was 6am, so I felt bad and i didn't want to be annoying)...I have no problem going to 7-11 for good coffee anyway

Then once the unit was turned off completely, one could hear that the refrigerator was making a frequent high-pitched squeal, so then that needed yanked out.

Room was disgusting and smelled. Fridge barely worked. Bedding was gross
