Purple Mountain Bed & Breakfast

We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and loved meeting the other guests. The breakfast each morning is over the top! We will be back!

The Purple Mountain B&B in Crested Butte was a great place to stay for a couples’ getaway. The room was small (Red Lady), but we had everything we needed and enough space for our luggage, bags, and backpacks. The breakfast was delicious and filling for a full day of biking and hiking. In the evening we had complimentary drinks at 5pm plus a hot chocolate bar and cookies for an after dinner treat. Bikes are available to cruise the town, and the hot tub was very relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful with good suggestions on trails to take and helpful tips that only the locals would know. Excellent stay! I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast!

The location was wonderful, quick walk into town and quiet when we were ready to escape some of the hustle and bustle that came along with Sleds & Kegs. Chris, his staff and of course can't forget his pups made us feel right at home with unexpected amenities and great local recommendations. Mostly subjective, but my neck hurt a little bit using their pillows. Nothing that can't easily be remedied!

The room was very spacious and equipped. The location couldn't be better you can walk to everything. Ski bus 2 blocks away, Crested Butte is a hidden Gem. Nothing

I arrived later in the evening, and the host had a note written for me explaining the way I could get into my room and any other questions I might have. Chris made coffee and breakfast every morning, and beer/wine tastings every evening! My room was cozy and comfortable, with a few indirect lighting options (which I appreciate). I was also delighted to find a tub in my bathroom, which I enjoyed after my long days getting my Wilderness First Responder certification refreshed!

Great location. Host Chris provided us with valuable information about the area. Close walking distance to bus stops, restaurants and hiking paths. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Our stay was amazing. Purple Mountain was clean and comfortable with easy walking access to downtown. Chris, the host, was phenomenal. From the homemade, exquisite breakfasts to evening happy hour in the living room. Chris was welcoming and we quickly made friends with him, his dogs, and others staying there. Chris was knowledgeable of the area offering places to eat, hike, and alternate routes to drive home for the best views. We will definitely stay there again when visiting Crested Butte.

Chris always prepares an excellent “made from scratch” full course breakfast. Tasty and wonderful. Accommodations were clean, well stocked, and Chris gives great tips on places to see. He is an outstanding host.

This is a wonderful and relaxing B&B with all the amenities and conveniently located so close to town! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Chris, the owner, was very accommodating and made sure we had a great stay!
