Sonesta Select Boston Danvers

Room was clean. Air conditioning worked. Staff was friendly.

Obviously this is only an opinion based on a single night stay. The outside is beautiful, but even from the front entrance which is not necessarily clearly marked you can tell it needs to be updated. The room was nice and clean, but again needed an update. The staff was pleasant.

Everything was great except the first night the front desk called my room at 1:15 am asking if the shower was working, saying someone reported the one in our room was broke. It wasn’t!

Nous avons demandé des draps supplémentaires pour le divan-lit et une serviette et débarbouillette de plus pour notre fille et ils ont livré le tout à la chambre. Seul point moins agréable, mal insonorisé. On entend les voisins d’à côté et du dessus sauter.

Our party had 3 adults, and we stayed in a room which had a separate bedroom with a main room with a couch which made into a bed. Our adult son slept on the couch and said it was so hard it was like sleeping on a piece of cardboard. It was a warm humid night, and the A/C controls in the separate bedroom did not work. Since we needed to keep the door closed, my husband and I were forced to sleep in an uncomfortably hot humid room. Also the bathroom floor was not clean - it had dirty footprints in it when we arrived.

Our room was to small for a king size bed.

Bed sheets were not changed. There was an unbearable smell in the room. Left immediately

Unfortunately, the room had a very strong air-freshener smell that seemed to be covering a pet or smoke odor. I am sensitive to fragrances, and it triggered a migraine and breathing problems. The first room had very thin, worn sheets, and although the staff kindly moved us, the second bed was uncomfortable and had a plastic or bubble-wrap-like covering over the mattress. The furniture was also old and worn. Given the hotel’s 8.6 rating, the stay was very disappointing. I would rate it closer to a low 6.

2. Breakfast - Although I didn't use, surprised by the breakfast restaurant. Nice space & meal options like almond milk. Staff person (Sat 7/25) pleasant & very helpful. 3. Room -There was hair on the far wall of the shower. -The desk had holes in it, maybe from screws & a paper sticker that was partially removed. Not an impressive/neat appearance. - No written instructions for use of TV. Called front desk around 11 pm or later to assist. - room definitely provided the bare minimum - coffee space convenient & nicely set up

The breakfast is very limited and costly. I don’t want to pay $4 for Starbucks coffee. Frankly, it’s the first time I have ever had to pay for coffee at a hotel

Reserved two rooms for 4 nights. Property is conveniently located, staff accommodating, and rooms good sized rooms. Basic amenities with very small fitness facility and outdoor pool, breakfast not included. Cleanliness and maintenance were a but more questionable with some bed linens that smelled like smoke or had holes, both bathrooms having dirty tubs and stopped up drains, and an elevator that made disconcerting noises showing a certificate of inspection indicating over a year past due.
