Ideal location for exploring Darien, a walkable coastal treasure with majestic tree-lined streets and abundant natural treasures. We especially appreciated the comfort and ease of the place. We couldn’t have been more content with the place. The beds are cozy, the house is beautifully decorated with multiple places to rest, read and plan your days.

Open Gates Bed and Breakfast and hosts Zach and Carrie, provide a first-class environment to relax and enjoy the second oldest city in Georgia. The 1876 manor house is very comfortable and charming, the breakfast is five-star. The quality of service leaves little opportunity for improvement as the facility, staff and services were incredible.

This B & B is in a historic home in the heart of the charming town of Darien. The breakfast was really great. The room was comfortable and clean. The owners were friendly and helpful.

We have stayed here several times in the past 4 years.. This seeming backwater is barely 2 miles off Interstate 95, but offers a comforting respite from the frenzy of daily life. Nothing .. . . ...

Beautiful house in good location, air conditioning. The bed / box spring squeaked like hyenas with every move.... Such a shame that the owner has put in so much to create a beautiful space but neglects the more important issue... a quality night's sleep... I bet his bed doesn't squeak!

We were leaving early in the morning and the owner/chef made us a delicious breakfast sandwich and coffee to go! Excellent!

I wouldn't change anything. The house is great, location is perfect. Small town with friendly people and the proprietors, Zach and Carrie are just really good people who enjoy their jobs.

Breakfast was exceptional - the first morning my wife & I were there, we had to leave for an early excursion, Zach was up early to accommodate us. Breakfast BOTH DAYS was excellent Wish we could've stayed longer!
