Decatur Conference Center & Hotel

Proximity to Millikin University They did not have hand soap in the bathroom. They did not respond/honor my request for shower bench. Room did not have a roll in shower as advertised.

The facilities were exceptionally clean and cozy looking. The restrooms on the first floor were clean and orderless. My room was comfortable and I had a nice night. I usually am a little Leary when in hotels, but I was comfortable taking a shower and sleeping. They should truly invest in higher toilets because I did think about my 82-year-old parents sitting on it if they were with me. Otherwise, it was a nice evening. The toilets in the restroom. They are extremely low for elders.

When I pulled back the sheets, the bed smelled of urine.

Under utilized old school ex-Holiday Inn. Exterior is showing some age but the interior in maintained and clean.

The hallways weren't well lit; carpeting at hallway seams were starting to have issues.

The hotel was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. The staff was super friendly. The food was very good. Only thing it was missing was hot tub and I wish the pool hours would’ve been a little later. But we had a great day and we would definitely go back.

The hotel is pretty large and a good part of it is not used since there is not a lot of demand for this kind of hotel in Decatur. It's a little sad because it has so much potential. Despite this, the amenities overall were pretty nice. The fitness room was a good size for several people to workout at the same time. There is only 1 treadmill though, so this was a bit of a challenge. The facilities were fairly clean and the breakfast was ok. The breakfast had some fruit cups, some fresh fruit, waffles, sausages, eggs, and sometimes biscuits. The kids enjoyed the pool. There are some nice seating areas to relax and chat. The rooms were not grand but were generally comfortable. The lighting in the rooms could use improvement and all of the pillows need to be replaced. The white comforters also seemed a bit used and abused, but not as bad as the pillows.

Everything was great. Location perfect.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked great. The bar had good food. The staff was very helpful and friendly

There was no hand or shower soap in the bathroom when we arrived, so we had to use our own. The bathroom was clean, but there was damage tile around the toilet and dirty grout. The hallway on our floor had a weird smell, and due to the smokers coming in and out of the hotel there was a lingering smell of smoke. The room was excessively cold upon arrival. Staff was friendly but slow to respond at times. For some reason I was charged $50 extra but the room was left in the same condition it was in when we arrived. Not sure if we’ll use this hotel in the future.

Comfortable Rooms Staff friendly and calm

Comfortable room, quiet, very good breakfast. Staff were very helpful. WiFi was almost non-existent. Could not get service - almost as though the signal was blocked. Very disappointing.

Nothing. Room was not cleaned and then was told I had to request cleaning. There was no soap in the shower. There were not clean towels.
