Everything is nice and clean

Everything was perfect i love staying in this place

Purchased 1 drink, left the property and went to a different venue.

Internet was very patchy,

Old hotel in need of upgrades. Television didn’t work in first room. Switched rooms and the remote was ridiculous with the tv. Wasn’t fresh smelling.

Every staff person that I encountered was great! They waived my incidental fee after telling them it had been misplaced or stolen. They were very accommodating! The breakfast was also great. They had a wide variety of hot choices, pantry choices, and fresh choices. The curb appeal of this place was terrifying. The grounds are not well kept, and it almost looks an abandoned building. The inside had moments of appeal, but most of it looked extremely worn down. It was like they couldn't keep up the building, so they just started giving up. My son called it "the backrooms hotel" because there were so many places with the lights sht off which left these creepy, long hallways with no lights, just hallways with doors. The main reason I booked this hotel was for the pool, but we were EXTREMELY disappointed with the temperature of the water. It was FREEZING; we didn't even make it past our waists. The room itself was eh. The TV was extremely small. The shampoo bottle was detatched from the wall (obviously broken) while the other ones stayed up. The bed was not comfortable... felt old. The blanket had many small holes in it which caused these little feathers to be EVERYWHERE (including our clothes). The TV remote was missing the back of it, and it didn't even work. This place seemed like at one point it was a very fine hotel, but it is definitely not anymore.

nice its ok but to say there all booked up its always empty and the guest are ghosts because no one is booked up in that hotel but i love staying there id like to work with the current owners i know they own the gas station alot of stuff but who are they id like to host events

Was a bit outdated but the room was clean, the gym was nice, and overall I enjoyed my stay

Exceptional

“Sports Bar” is a bold use of what the restaurant/bar is. Open 4 hours a day, kitchen is only open for 3 hours. No TVs on sports, hardly any lighting. Rooms are stuck in 2000. Need some upgrades, beds are solid as a rock. TVs have maybe 10 channels that work & no smart TV options. Breakfast bar was OK, room was MEH, expectations from photos of the hotel 0/10…

theres things that can be better but it comfortable professional clean can be cleaner amenities that can be better but overall id book over and over again thanks sonia the general international hospitality host hotel investor owner critic has returned from elites govt Im here enjoying

The facilities are dated, but maintained -- though the carpets could use a good cleaning. This facility is curious. It's a large facility, but nearly a ghost town (it will remind you of the movie, "The Shining"). We were there three nights and saw less than 15 different travelers. We looked at many other area motels, and ultimately chose this one because of the lower price, as well as its impressive breakfast. The only real negative we experienced was the room TV, as well as the computer in the business suite. Apparently, the whole facility was having signal issues and we could not use the TV or the business suite computer. Other than that, the staff was very cordial and helpful.

Very nice room, clean, quiet.

The stay was decent, its been along time since I stayed in a hotel in decatur. Didn't realize the hotel wasn't fully operational. This once was a beautiful hotel with lots of events & things, sad the city has fallen that much! Bit the people were great, decent hotel food, helpful staff.. best part no creepy crawlies!

Family friendly Great staff Quiet Convenient Cozy

Definitely showing serious wear. Breakfast ok. Water in dining area tastes straight out of the garden hose. Its serves a purpose for the night. Beds and pillows were good. Bathroom ok but showing age.

This propert is decades beyond it’s prime. I am sure it was beautiful 50 years ago. There are still grand elements light crystal chandeliers and then now creepy elements like very large, dark spaces. The carpet needed replaced a LONG time ago. My specific bathroom was good. The final tipping point was once daylight broke I realized all of the black mold in my room. The walls. The ceiling. Everywhere. You cannot tell me someone has not seen it before I did. And my smoke detector was covered in plastic. Strange. The one restaurant they had open on the property was extremely overpriced for heated up frozen food. Pay a little more to stay somewhere else.

Best hotel ever, worth a trip to Decatur just to stay at this hotel!
