Sleep Inn Decatur I-72

Very unprofessional lobby area smelled like weed the receptionist never id me and when I said you never took my id she said oh I figured you were who you said you were. Place was horrible bed had prints of someone sitting in bed, they had no shampoo to refill bottles. The receptionist’s was friendly but seemed to not know what she was doing

Staff was very helpful and nice. My girls had a blast in the pool it was warm and clean. The rooms were clean and quit. Definitely will return. Thanks Sharon!

The first room had not been cleaned, but they were quick to get me into another that had been prepared.

Dirty hallways, upkeep not kept up. Microwave not working

Terrible the hot tub did not work in the pool was closed every morning for maintenance, so I didn’t even get to swim in it. The owner even said that the hot tub has been down for two years, but it’s not posted on the website. The free breakfast comes with no meat, no sausage or bacon just and gravy and waffles. You can tell the hotel is very ran down and needs some very good maintenance and cleaning.

First off my shower was as if someone just stepped out of it. I travel with disinfectant spray and wipes for cases like this. I cleaned the shower myself. Went to pool, got in and body started itching. Check out is at 11am, I left the hotel around 830am and came back around 10am my key was turned off. I called and requested my key to be activated and staff member hung up on me. I went to front desk, made my complaints and asked for key to be activated and staff member made it as if I was lying and didnt want to hear my complaints, we argued and I end up being barred just for an honest opinion and expressing my concerns for future travelers.

Shower light didn't work, bathroom exhaust makes a lot of noise, one mattress the bed sunk in when sitting or laying on it, tv remote on/off button or volume buttons didn't work. Had to adjust volume or on/off on the tv itself, carpet by the bed was sticky so bare feet not recommended, ice machine on our floor did not work, hot tub was not functioning and was empty. When I booked it indicated there was a hot tub. Pool was available and water nice and warm, but unfortunately, the night we were there, there were a lot of kids in the pool, and they weren't considerate of any adults in the pool. There wasn't any adult supervision for the kids for the first part of them being there. They came later, but the cannon balling and splashing in my face by the kids still continued. I understand kids want to have fun and will be loud and splash, but this was in excess. The wifi connection kept going in and out. This affected the TV and phone. There wasn't anyone at the front desk in the morning to let management know of these situations. The gentleman checking us in was very nice. The breakfast was nice. The hotel was easily accessible of the main road. There was a great pizza place nearby.

The jacuzzi hasn’t worked in over a year and the beds are hard as concrete. The place is full of “ seasonal “ workers and they party and get drunk all night in the parking lot and at the pond out back.

Was attacked by a Pizza wood in the room, which caused infection in my leg.Maybe leave early from my stay at four in the morning was an absolute horror show there

The parking was convenient, staff at check in was very nice and the room carpet was updated. That's the best I can say. We booked here for the hot tub, but it wasn't working. Pool room was dilapidated. For both rooms, light switch to enter room didn't turn any lights on, so we had to enter a dark room alone (sister's room was on a different floor). Room smelled musty, toilet seat was cracked, shower was tiny, no water pressure so i could barely wash my hair, no soap or shower gel for shower, robe hook was just sitting next to sink, no bedside lamp on one side, and bed had seen better days. The king was ok for a single person or two people would have rolled together or out! In my sister's room, the window shade was full of holes, very tacky looking and let light in. Breakfast was a joke. Nothing but eggs, biscuits, bagels, cereal. No bread, yogurt, or milk. They did have waffle maker but not sure if there was batter. Apple juice was very watered down. Was just happy to leave in the morning.

I didn’t like how my toilet stopped up and called for assistance and never got it had to go to front desk and they gave me one I had to do it myself!

They turned the water off and could not give a ETA on when it would be turned back on so I had to walk across the street to a truck stop for a shower. Also on the website at advertises that they have a jacuzzi and they do not

Reasonable price The lady at the desk was very rude to me tried removing me off the property for bs harasses the employees disrespectful threatened me with police due to me not agreeing with her about something she said about me that wasn’t true I talked to the owner and I hope she was talked to I will not be coming back or telling people about sleep inn due to how rude I was treated

Stayed here to use hot tub and it was broke. Hotel smelled like weed. Room and pool were dirty.

The staff was friendly and helpful with check in and gave extra towels when needed we were a little disappointed the hot tub was out of service but we will definitely stay again!

Rooms were clean and what I would expect. Staff was generally friendly and location is convenient from interstate when traveling through. Number one issue. Was looking forward to the HOT TUB which is listed in the website. Was told at check in that it’s PERMANENTLY CLOSED! This is part of the reason I picked this hotel. It looks like a nice big hot tub. Fix it or TAKE IT OF THE WEBSITE AND ANY BOOKING SERVICES you’re using. Frustrating.

Our towels were not replaced when they were taken from the room.
