Room was nice but windows opened to an event center, and breakfast was like you would get at a cheap motel. Nicest feature, it was very quiet.

While the location was charming, the views were beautiful, and the cleanliness was acceptable, the property felt a bit run down. Additionally, there was a noticeable lack of staff on duty throughout my stay. I was also disappointed with the dining experience. The "international breakfast" consisted only of frozen egg sandwiches and cereal. Furthermore, during dinner at the restaurant, we waited over an hour for our meal. The staff did not provide any updates regarding the delay, and when we inquired twice, we were treated dismissively. When the food finally arrived, it was mediocre. I hope you will address these staffing and quality issues to improve the experience for future guests.

Merci !

Large room, short bed. Otherwise beautiful old inn.

Beautiful room with great view. Friendly staff and dogs greeted us. Property grounds were beautiful and plenty to do. Restaurant had great food and many options. Not far from things to do locally.

Excellent overall…would return.

Good experience. Nothing to complain, all was pleasant.

The room was clean. The property was inviting.

Should be aware lots of stairs, no elevator. Very trying for older people

The continental breakfast was the worst I ever had. Little breakfast area and everything was done so cheap.

Don't stay here or maybe someone from Expedia should!!! Then you’ll see what I’m talking about. I was eager to leave as soon as possible, but we knew trying to find something else would not be easy! The girl on check in was not the friendliest but I figured that’s ok she’s having an off day, she showed us to our room but nothing else. We really didn’t see anyone else. Our room was under the bar, so I was worried about noise luckily that wasn’t such an issue but when we got into our room we couldn’t enjoy the view as it looked onto a tented area set up for a wedding. Yep no great view and no privacy… so we kept the curtains shut! There was also a smell … to me it was like a cooking smell/ grease from upstairs. The beds were fine and the room was clean but in much need of an update especially the bathroom. Luckily we were busy exploring Acadia and bar harbor but we made a point of spending as little time at the inn as possible. We did eat in the restaurant the 1st night because there’s not much around… the food wasn’t bad, our waitress was nice but took a while to get the food. The breakfast was terrible… yogurts and juices thrown into tubs of ice, some sort of cake wrapped in plastic, some individual cereal bowls… and microwave breakfast sandwiches… yep no thank you. It’s such a shame because it could be a beautiful property but needs a lot of TLC and better management.

Awesome place to come and enjoy a few days. We were traveling through and found this place. Great history and a great place to stay. Beautiful. Highly recommend

Classic New England inn that was a delightful find! Dog friendly options were a bit limited but it suited us just fine. Staff we kind and helpful when we checked in. Would definitely stay again if the calendars could align better!

My favorite thing about the Lucerne Inn is its unpretentious old world charm. It is very conveniently located outside of Bangor. The staff was super friendly. If the swimming pool were heated I may have taken a dip, but I didn’t mind. Having a cocktail on the deck outside and taking in the view was much better than hanging out in a pool, anyway. The food and drink menu had great selections and very well priced - especially considering g we were there at peak season!

We stayed in a room on the lower level, which may have contributed to the moisture problems the room had. There was a large dehumidifier in the room which helped, but overall the room did not smell fresh and clean. Would I stay here again? Possibly, but not on the lower level.

Room was clean found staff very short with answers to questions. Had come up exclusively for the Sunday Brunch. One can see the disappointment. when we arrived at breakfast and all that was left was a microwave sandwich and decaf coffee
