Good place to stay close to Denali National Park. Be prepared the office and store up front are often not open and hair dryer in our room didn't work. When you read the reviews about the morning wake up call from the train going by its legit. Overall not a bad place and we were able to book last minute. Be aware they sell rooms out to other parties so if you call and they say they are all booked they might not be. We called the actual lodge they said they were all booked then we were able to book through somewhere else. Its safe, clean, beds are alright, showers and toilets function as they should, worked good for us. If you hike enough you can fall back asleep after the 330AM train whistle. 😂

The building appeared to be fairly new. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Our room had a small balcony with chairs overlooking the river behind the hotel.

No service in any fields.

The river at the back of the cabin makes it special.

Pros : the view in the back is gorgeous, the check in & check out process was easy, and this location offered plentiful parking. The beds were comfortable Cons: the train comes by and is so loud it had me awake 2 nights in a row, there is NO FRIDGE in the room and no water station by the ice station for each building , this was widely annoying and you have to pay for Wi-fi for after signing up for the free 30 minutes, in 2026 just not cool - it also needs a spruce of maixtenance.

I loved this stay. Room was a bit hot because the curtains were open before we checked in and the sun was beaming into the room but once we opened the sliding glass door it cooled down a bit. The whole lodge and area/river is super cool

Beautiful place and beautiful views from the balcony

Room was clean and nice. Shower head was adequate. Not impressed with food truck. Cost of Wi-Fi was exorbitant for one day and only one device.

Excellent location close to Denali NP

With nearly 19 hours of daylight, blackout curtains would make a big difference—especially for families with young children who need proper rest. The rooms are also smaller than standard hotel rooms, and there is no fan or air conditioning. Direct sunlight warms the rooms quickly, and opening windows brings in bugs. The name of the property suggests a resort experience, but the amenities don’t match that expectation. Basic in‑room features like a microwave, refrigerator, bathtub, wardrobe, and free Wi‑Fi are not provided. The check‑in office closes at 9 PM and opens late on weekends, which can be inconvenient. There is a general store on-site, but using the microwave requires a minimum $10 purchase. Parking can be challenging during busy summer weekends, and there is no restaurant on the property, so guests should plan meals in advance.

Beautiful river view and balcony with chairs. Room was comfortable. Property needs to add free Wi-Fi. Contracted service was hard to connect and limited.

Be absolutely sure you want this location because once you click confirm, they will NOT let you out of your reservation. 100% cancellation penalty. I did not test this but it’s what was in their confirmation email. The lodging was fine.. I mean if I’m paying enough for a ritz Carlton, I’d like to get something better than a fancy red roof inn but I guess to take what you can get..

The place was overall nice, but I had guests in town for the summer who don’t have cell service in Alaska, and we did not realize the wifi is pay to play and very slow, which I should have known since it’s Alaska, but it’s also outsourced so staff can’t help you at all if you have wifi service. Also you can hear other people very easily- the guests above us were up and very loud until 2am

convenient location,warming and caring service

This is a camp site, not a hotel. A grade C camp site. If you will be paying a hotel price for a cabin, you are being fooled.

Beautiful setting. We had a hotel room overlooking the river. We thought we read on Expedia that we would have a microwave and fridge. We had neither. We heated water in the coffee maker to make oatmeal and ramen noodles.
-
Room was good. However a little disappointed that there was no refrigerator or microwave for guest use in the room.
-
Good location for visiting the NP.

View from our room and balcony was great. Staff was very responsive to our requests for shuttles to and from the train. Limited hours and limited offerings at the store. It's a ways from everywhere. We were surprised that a Double Room really had double (not Queen) beds - we haven't seen double beds anywhere in years.

Good cabins and a nice location close to Denali National Park. Friendly staff.
