The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport

place to rest and rejuvenate. I wanted a wake up call and couldn't find how to request one on my rooms phone????? Nor any way to contact the Desk, so I had to look up this hotel online to get that info.

Westin DTW is our go-to hotel in the area for both comfort and convenience. With multiple bags, we appreciate accommodations on the 3rd floor so we can walk right in and out of the terminal. The excellent restaurant and lobby area are great places to refuel and relax during hectic travel. Though we have not used it, there is a dedicated TSA checkpoint connecting the hotel directly with the Delta terminal for those without checked bags. Most importantly, the rooms are clean and quiet.

The a/c didn’t work very good it didn’t get it cool enough for us

I really wanted to stay at the airport if possible because I had a rental car and was traveling alone so I did not want a big hassle. I didn't want to be dragging bags around and having to get on buses and stuff. When I got to the hotel, I still needed to return the rental so they kept it in front while I ran to put my bags in my room, which made it much easier for me. Everyone was very nice and polite. The place was beautiful, the room was perfect for me. Everything was clean. I actually called my parents and bragged about the water pressure in the shower with the rainfall shower head and the handheld wand. I had a salad and chocolate molten lava cake (room service), which were both excellent but expensive. My only regret is not staying longer.

Front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Marina was able to make our visit smooth. Beds are very comfortable. Room details such as trim were showing quite a bit of wear. Despite that, it was a great option when needing to be close to the airport.

I travel a lot for work. This has to be one of the best domestic airport hotels in the US. Great restaurant and ambiance overall too.

Convenient after long travel in rental car

Easy location for an in and out stay. Staff is helpful, rooms comfortable and clean. Love the private tsa entrance

I have stayed here many times and love it - but this was a bad experience because I could not make it there and therefore paid for my stay, but could not actually stay there.

Convenient!

If you’re not in terminal A you will need to take a bus a moderate distance to get to the hotel. Room is average. Definitely paying for convenience, which really only exists when in terminal A.

How close it was to the airport especially after seven hours of delay

I wrongly picked date while in the lobby to book the stay and neither the hotel nor Expedia could fix it . They just took 400$ for nothing .

Valet was great!

The wait staff at the hotel bar are as fast as watching paint dry.

We stayed here because we arrived late at night and missed our connecting flight through DTW. It was a clean and comfortable place to stay until we could get out the next morning. We were especially grateful for the sundries available in the gift shop at midnight to help carry us through until we were on our next flight and reunited with our luggage! This is a very nice property, especially for weary travelers!

Desk clerk was fantastic. She provided us with essentials needed as our luggage was down in luggage hold for next day flight. Had a delicious late evening dinner. Service was outstanding
