Was a very enjoyable experience. The room we stayed at was wonderful. They all have private exits so you can enjoy the grounds. Grounds were well kept and beautiful. Enjoyed looking at the stars at night. It was extremely quiet. That's a big plus.

The view of mountains id stunning, as is the aroma of fresh air and the enchanting songbirds. We had a great time in the small but adequate swimming pool. It is easy to miss the turn onto Laurence Lane, so it would be good if a sign were to be installed there.

Such a wonderful place to stay in the peace and quiet

Some of the rooms are pet friendly & Jason, 1 of the inn keepers, showed me them

Everything!!! It is such a lovely place, with a huge yard! Also we love that is pet friendly. We stayed in two rooms kind and queen, pretty comfortable and with a nice chimney. Honestly the best! Plus the front desk manager was so nice and helpful!

The room was wonderful. SO spacious and well-appointed, extremely clean. Loved the excellent bedding, the soaking tub, the perfect water pressure in the shower. We did not expect the flat-screen TV, so it was a treat to have. Don't let the lack of restaurant bother you: There are plenty of great choices around, though you have a bit of a drive. For a leisurely romantic weekend, I can't think of a better place.

We had a fantastic room! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Though we visited during peak foliage season, we’ll be trying to book again in the near future to try out the pool.

My room was spacious and spotless, nice decor and atmosphere. The setting of the hotel is beautiful. The building itself felt historic. Communication from the property was good. Difficult to find! Signage needed down on the main road and on Lawrence Rd. The 3 people that I asked in Townshend had never heard of it. My room was clean but hallways in need of sprucing up, new carpet. I was told the fireplace didn’t work, and my door out to the old wooden fire escape was sealed shut. I failed to read the email about the breakfast coupons but I wish Jason had told me about them. Jason was polite but not necessarily welcoming. The hotel is a work in progress-some unused rooms with junk, peeling paint, etc. I liked the place but it’s needs more improvement to bill it as fully functioning.

The Inn is situated near the top of a mountain and surrounded by other hilltops. There are trails that help you to reconnect with nature. Our room was lovely and comfortable. There is a attention to detail in the decor of this establishment which is both delightful and humorous.

This place was amazing, beautiful and the staff was great. We will be coming back here again. Visit the waterfalls in the area, beautiful. Great romantic getaway.

We had a beautiful day thank y

Very clean, quiet and beautiful. Very homey.

The rooms were charming and the scenery is lovely. There is zero printed information in the rooms. There is zero food/snack options and barely coffee in the morning. The lounge downstairs was freezing…all of this could have been easily taken care of. A wasted opportunity.

This property gave us the creeps from the moment we checked in. The attendant was not particularly welcoming. When we arrived at our room, a cottage on the property, someone ran outside from the other side and yelled at us to leave, telling us we were in the wrong place and that we needed to go back to registration. We should have left then. The TV was stuck on a raunchy pay-per-view porn site that it appeared someone had been trying to purchase. The cottage smelled old and musty. The people next door were out with flashlights making noise well after midnight, directly behind a room we were sitting in with no drapes. No blankets or comforters on the beds, just sheets and a flimsy coverlet. Leftover food in the fridge. When I went to complain in the morning, no one was around.

Location was quiet and secluded. I had difficulty trying to figure out the thermostat for my room (west room). The AC was blowing through the floor vents, and I couldn’t shut it off nor turn on the heat. It seemed to have resolved when I awoke the next morning, because it no longer felt as cold.

And outdoors there are numerous trails and Adirondack chairs placed at scenic spots to take in the beauty of the land in front of you and to enjoy the star filled wide-open sky above at night, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed! We can not wait to return to this New England paradise! ❤️
