Staff is great and very clean . Second year in a row lodge fireplace is not functional and apparently having difficult staffing areas of hotel. I liked the old Izzac Walton Inn better but it is still a nice place to stay

Spectacular location, beautiful views and outstanding hiking trails, and skiing hils right out side the front door. All the staff was helpfull, and friendly. 10/10 will recommend.

Accomodating and helpful staff.

Stayed at Loge (former Izaak Walton Hotel) and really enjoyed our two nights. The Cross country trails were in great shape. Very pet friendly and friendly staff. Will definitely be going back!
-
The room was spotless, well equipped and we loved our night there! Will come back.

The room was great. We loved all of the beautiful trails. The restaurant was delicious. The ambience of this place was perfectly relaxing and cozy! We will be back!

Beautiful setting, quiet. Good food at restaurant. One star taken off due to less than perfect bathroom cleanliness.

Incredible property that's historic. We'll be back!

Very nice

We enjoyed the location and the room was adequate. Please make the check in process easier for future guests!! We had a hard time finding the outlying properties - paper maps would help since there is no wifi outside. You should also provide better staffing, signage and lighting. Not at all what we expected!

Overall, the stay was very nice! We ate dinner at their restaurant and the burgers were excellent! There was a bar in the basement, a game room, and a seated area for talking or watching TV. You could use their bikes for free and there were other supplies in the room you could borrow for a hike, etc. The hotel has a rich history and it has an authentic Montana vibe. The staff was friendly and gave good recommendations. The only negative, there is no elevator so make sure you are physically able to climb the stairs with your luggage to the second or third floor. Also, our room was warm without the heat on, so we had to open the window and use a fan to cool it down.

Not a very welcoming environment

Everything is great!
-
Main building is beautifully made but beware - no elevator/no television in rooms. Restaurant makes an attempt at upscale gourmet but falls short.
-
Set up very well for mountain biking, hiking and outdoor activities (cross country skiing). But right next to the train tracks.
-
A fabulous, unique place to stay!

Friendly staff

We weren't able to get a receipt from the lodge for our stay, even though Hotels.com said the property would provide it, not them. A smaller shower head would have been nice in our room. The flies were pretty bad in the restaurant. You should install screens in there. Everything else was great!

Mile + dirt road into property. Provide detailed map with property ID and access info. Unit numbers should be visiable driving by. Leave the light on. This can be done remotely.
