Holiday Inn Express Exton by IHG

The 2 young girls at the checkout only put our keys for 1 night and we stayed 4 , no trash can liners . “ eco friendly “ and the ice machine that was right by our door needed a new part and it made a horrible noise ! No creamers for your coffee and when I asked the lady at breakfast she said “ no creamer today “ .

Location and price.

Checked in at 7pm on Thursday . Got to room, found the air conditioner did not work. Stat on the wall read err. The unit itself would not turn down below 75. The outlets in room were hanging out of wall. Had to place something against them to hold phone chargers in. The phone and clock on night stand would not turn on. Unsure if we’re just unplugged due to wires being behind wall. The TV remote would not work. The lamp was unplugged but no outlet to plug into and hair dryer was broke. Friday left at 8am. Advised the front desk of issues, said they would send maintenance that day to check it out. They gave me a new remote and new hair dryer. Arrived back at hotel at 10pm and found no one had came to check room. Saturday left at 630am, advised again. They apologized and again said they would send maintenance to check room. Arrived back at hotel 1040pm. No one had checked room again. Left Sunday at 7am. My son attends school at Valley Forge, we have stayed there numerous times when visiting. But this will be the last.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and modern.

The Ac was old and made noise . We had to go to a Walmart to get some air freshener so the room could smell good !overall 4/10

I think it is due to staffing shortages honestly. And the breakfast was mediocre at best.

Nice hotel but bathroom kinda needs an upgrade.

The property was located in a nice area. We did not use the pool, but it looked nice. The property had many amenities out of order from the breakfast to workout room.

We have been coming here for a few years now for lacrosse tournaments and the hotel is comfortable, clean, includes breakfast and great location

I enjoy my stay. The room was clean and the staff was very nice.

Good

The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room smelled very musty and the carpet felt wet. We stayed on the first floor. The staff was very friendly. No ice in the ice machines. This hotel needs some TLC and some renovations.

Exceptional

For the price, the hotel isn’t terrible, but could definitely use some upgrading and maintenance. The elevator moved very slowly and was loud like it was struggling. The A/C in my room was very loud and barely blowing, and the ceilings in my room were cracked all the way around and down the middle. Property was clean overall, but definitely needs some work.

Convenient location. Breakfast is good. We have stayed there a lot over the past few years. Over powerful smell of cleaning products when you walk in. No updates. Stained floors. Dirty bed linens. Couch outside has cigarette holes for the last five years.

Property was clean and cared for, however carpet in room smells. It’s generally like this in all hotels and don’t know why they all don’t change to bare floors. So much cleaner. Carpet just accumulates dirt and smells.
