The beds and pillows were too soft/lumpy and the bathrooms had a loud vent system that could not be turned off when simply turning on the lights. So, middle of the night potty breaks with kids was challenging - lights and vent switch should be separated -- outdated rooms.

staff was great, very helpful.

Flowers were beautiful! The lobby was really warm, not comfortable on July2nd when we arrived. Staff was great!

Other than the poor experience we had at the Waterfront dining venue and the rooms being a bit dated and on the smaller side, the property was well maintained, had lots of activities available, very nice amenities, and a courteous staff. Overall, I'd give it a 8/10 rating.

Not impressed. After I booked 2 rooms 3 months in advance, I called the hotel to request the 2 rooms be in a specific building and together on the same floor. When we got to the hotel, they had no notes of my previous conversation with the Abbey associate. Neither room was in the building I requested, nor were they near eachother. First the lady at the desk told me room requests were a first come, first serve basis. It was 2pm, so I asked if that many people checked in already that there were no rooms available in the requested building. She said yes. She arranged my rooms so they were at least near eachother. She said one room was ready and they would text me when the other was. She also said she would expedite it with housekeeping. After we went to eat, at 330, I came to check if the other room was ready yet. They said no bc its harbor view. I dont even know what that had to do with anything so i left to wait for their text, that never came. At 4pm, i again went to see if my room was ready. She said it had been ready, and asked if i got a text. No I didnt. When i got to my "harbor view" room, I looked out the window to see a staircase. They kept stressing "harbor view" like it was some amazing thing, when in actuality, i was under a staircase. Completely unimpressed with this hotel. Also, its away from anything you want to see. No pizza places near by to deliver, landscaping is terrible. Weeds growing all over the courtyard, burnt bushes, dirty windows.

Our room had a severe mildew smell and we realized the carpet near the AC unit was soaking wet. We called down to the front desk twice, spoke to front desk, and sent an email without any resolution. I am also 34 weeks pregnant and was concerned I was breathing in some sort of mold. The AC unit was also leaking outside onto balcony area and the drainage was black. The bathroom was also dirty and the shower was not fully cleaned. For the amount of money we paid for the room , it’s honestly insane no one helped us with this room situation. I’ve been coming to the Abbey since I was a kid and I’m so disappointed.

The Abbey is a staple in the heart of Fontana. The location is what sells this resort. I’d like to add that the room is spacious and comfortable. But why does the bathroom do not have an exhaust? The A/C was at the lowest, but the humidity in the room was overwhelming. The Waterfront restaurant has awful service and more awful food selection and taste. I’d continue coming back but keeping the restaurant out of arms length.

This resort is very outdated, huge and not well organized, Staff is not very friendly, pool does not have any umbrellas, rooms are very dark, no micro views in the rooms, no carts for the luggage..

Excellent stay. Really enjoyed the room and amenities!

Only complaint I have is we needed to use the lift to get into the pool and the staff didn’t want to help us and after reluctantly trying they were unsuccessful. They didn’t know how to use the machine or how it operated . It should be functional at all times and staff should be properly trained .

They cut the water off without telling us beforehand

I enjoyed the resort overall. It was a nice relaxing time. Took my lady for her birthday and she truly enjoyed the atmosphere and scenery.

We requested a fragrance free room. The first room we were given had been sprayed with fragrance but Megan helped us get a different room. We appreciated her diligence with helping to get our request right. We always love staying here and will be back.

Wonderful stay! Staff was great and helpful!

One lady at the front desk for check in was so rude and unprofessional! Our room was not ready at 4pm check in for harbor view. Proceeded to say if you need your room now you can have a room with no hot water. Room was clean. Overall resort is a bit out dated.

Some parts of resort are nicely updated and others are in need of repairs. The grounds especially the pool area had a major ant issue. The fan in the bathroom always turns on with bathroom light and the fan also didn’t really help with the steam from the shower. The restaurants had good food. Cafe was short staffed and out of food by 8:30 a.m.

You can find everything in just one place

Good location on the lake. The grounds are maintained nicely. The balcony was loud and hot from the air conditioner. The drain in the shower clogged as we used the shower. There was leftover food in the mini fridge. The line was about 10 minutes for check in.
