What a lovely place for a family to visit! We had 3 generations together and it worked for everyone. Lots of things for kids to do, but also areas for adults only. The view is beautiful.

We had a great stay at The Abbey Resort! Everything was beautiful, the amenities were really nice, and we had such a good time. It was a relaxing and enjoyable getaway, and we would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

The Abby was fine for a one night stay. We were put in a room in the 1200 section which was very difficult to get to. It is on the other side of the spa and you have to walk down many long corridors to access the room or down a long outdoor path and then stairs. If you have any problem with stairs and or dragging heavy suitcases through long distances this is not a good situation. They never told us the location and when I mentioned it when we checked out the front desk person just stared at me. Just be aware if you have limited mobility, avoid this area!

Loved that we were able to get into our room right away when we got there around 1pm

The pool never had towels available on any of the days we went. Each time, we were told the towels were being washed, which was frustrating and inconvenient. The restaurant service was also very poor. At 240° West, our waitress disappeared for most of the evening, and we waited an extremely long time just to get water and then our food. At Waterfront, there was only one person making drinks, which created very long waits. We were extremely disappointed with the service at both restaurants. The most concerning issue happened this morning around 8:30 a.m. Someone banged on our door and then attempted to enter our room. Thankfully, we had the deadbolt locked, so they could not get in. When we reported this to the front desk, we were told it “must have been kids.” That response was extremely concerning and, quite frankly, unacceptable. Kids should not have access to a key to an occupied guest room, and we expected the situation to be taken much more seriously. Things can go wrong at any hotel, but guest safety and security should never be something you have to question. Unfortunately, the combination of the poor restaurant service, lack of pool towels, and especially someone attempting to enter our occupied room has left us questioning whether we would ever stay again.

Stay was great! Only complaint is that our sheets had blood spots on them when we got there. Spoke to front desk person and housemaid came and put new clean sheets on. Beautiful resort.

Always a great stay at Abbeys resort it’s our second year going and we will continue to stay there great food, great people. I flaw this time around was the bathroom door in our room did not close or lock very minor but it is a inconvenience but over overall it was great stay

We had a nice stay here. Love that they have an adults only pool, just wish it was open past 9pm. We went to the breakfast buffet at 240 West at 10:15am. It ended at 11 and had several empty dishes. We asked if they would be replenished and were told yes but they never were. If you’re open until 11 all options should be available until 11 or don’t charge full price. Would definitely stay again as overall enjoyed our stay.

Some kind of blood on the bedspread as soon as we walked in and it took until about 1015 pm to change it. Only one poor guy working. Only one very small soap for both of us to take showers.

    Lovely lake view.

We switched to a second room that still smelled musty, and, in fact, the beds were not as comfortable as the first room. I suppose you stay there if you don’t want to pay Grand Geneva prices. The adults only pool was a real treat! Stake out your lounge chair early! The front desk staff, two people, did not do a very good job at passing my concerns along about the first room. The manager, I think her name was Jesse, was extremely apologetic and wanted to help us out. She kindly switched our room, but in an old hotel, that didn’t really solve our problem.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. The beds are horrible. Soft and lumpy and the pillows are the same. Terrible night sleep.

Check in was at 4 but our room was not ready until 4:45. The person at the desk had to contact housekeeping and have them confirm our room was ready. While waiting, another person besdie me checked in and was told her room was not ready and was immediately given two free drink vouchers. I was not offered vouchers. Charming hotel but they need to put some money back into the place.

The staff and hotel are great. My son was looking forward to the arcade room but it has been cleared out of most arcade games and is now filled with teddy picker machines instead.

The property is nice. Dated but clean. We had a first floor room and wasn’t aware when I booked that there’d be people walking by the room all day. Would be nice if there were sheers on the windows so we could get light in and still have some privacy. Overall an ok place but there are much nicer in the area
