I stayed at the Marriott Sanibel Harbor Resort over the Fourth of July weekend. I had originally hoped to stay in the main tower, but I'm actually glad I ended up in the Captiva Tower. It was noticeably quieter, the pool felt cleaner, and there was much less hustle and bustle. The room itself was comfortable and met my expectations. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were just right, and the view was enjoyable. One word of caution: the shower can get pretty slippery, so be careful. The resort offers a complimentary welcome drink, but I wouldn't really call it complimentary since there's a mandatory $35 daily resort fee (lame) that covers various amenities, many of which you may not even use. I also don't drink alcohol, so it wasn't much of a perk for me. I did take advantage of the 24-hour fitness center and was pleasantly surprised. There was a good variety of equipment, the treadmills worked well, and they provided complimentary towels, water, and even apples. My only criticism is that the gym could use a more thorough cleaning. One thing to know before booking is that this resort doesn't have a beach. That wasn't a dealbreaker for me because the pool was very nice. My mother and I drove to Sanibel Beach, which was only about 10–15 minutes away. However, parking was difficult to find, it costs $5 per hour, and the mosquitoes were relentless. Unless you're set on visiting the island, I'd recommend relaxing at the resort instead. The elevators worked well, and every staff

We had a fantastic time! Would stay here again!

The staff was lovely, restaurants were great and the valet parking was a big help. I’ll definitely return with family for another vacation.

El staff es súper atento

The room was great. Pool maintained. Food DELICIOUS! However, there is no real beach on the property or within walking distance. Everything else was just fine. The staff were friendly and helpful.

My husband and I loved our stay here! They were able to accommodate us with an early check-in and even upgraded us to a suite with a water view since it was my husband’s birthday! Nick at the front desk was amazing and so were the valet guys. We enjoyed the pool and the bartenders were great! Lots of seating and umbrellas at the pool. I wish we had a longer stay and could have taken advantage of all the amenities they provide. We did eat at the Courtside Steakhouse on the property and it was delicious! I would highly recommend staying here!

Place was fantastic and tried 3 of the restaurants and all were great! Would definitely stay again.

Our 3-day visit at this Resort for our anniversary celebration was quite disappointing. We stayed here 9yrs ago & NOTHING has changed but increased rates! No upgrades to the room furnitures or Bathroom facilities. Most of the furniture had visible severe scratches & it showed that they were terribly worn. This Resort is in desperate need of an extensive overhaul remodeling project! From the Lobby to the Guest Rooms it looked like it was stuck in the “1980’s” era. No wonder it looked like a “ghost-town!” during our entire stay. Hilton Hotels Corporate Company can and should do better, or…just close this one down until they regroup! I do not recommend staying here until they improve with the much needed upgrades. However, all of the staff we encountered was polite and professional.

I loved how friendly and responsive the front desk staff were. The pool area was great, clean, loved the music. I had the best cheeseburger I’ve had in decades! Diverse patrons were nice. Able to see the dolphins swimming nightly from the outside tables at the bar.

The sunset from my room was beautiful and definitely the highlight of the stay. My main concern is the pool closing time. The pool closes at “darkish,” (what the staff said) which feels quite early given the setting. In Florida especially, many guests expect to enjoy the beach, return to their rooms for dinner, and then relax at the pool afterward. Considering the cost of staying here, it would be nice to have extended pool hours so guests can fully enjoy the amenities they are paying for.

The hotel was beautiful. However the staff were not very helpful with answering questions about local activities. The hotel yacht was out of commission so we couldn’t book the dinner cruise. All of the on site restaurants have the same menu. One bright spot the Tarpon restaurant has great breakfast and we had a wonderful waitress. I would not return however.
