Best Western Gateway Grand

the hotel was just right for us to break our journey after flying in to Orlando and driving to Santa Rosa Beach. Decent hotel, bar and pool to recharge after the flight and the big drive the next day. On route north and easy to find. Nothing it worked for us.

We love this place. Lots of things convenient and theres a bar/restaurant onsite with great staff.

Staff were nice I paid a premium due to high demand for a university event (which I'm fine with).The room wasn't clean under the pullout sofa. We had no hot water for showers because the hotel was full.

I hate giving a bad review because the property was beautiful, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff was very friendly. However, the core amenities were unacceptable. We had no hot water in our room when we went to shower. I notified the front desk and they called me back in roughly 20 minutes to let me know it had been fixed. We tried once again, and after awhile the water was indeed hot, but there was zero water pressure. It literally dribbled out to the point that if you wanted to be under it you would have had to press yourself against the shower wall. We tried to just bathe my children by running a bath instead, and while the tub initially "appeared" clean, once we began running the water a lot of sand/dirt/something that had settled around the drain was suddenly floating everywhere. We gave up on bathing for the night to sleep on mattresses that felt like only cloth covered springs. Zero cushion and very uncomfortable. The next morning we tried to shower once again to see if it had worked itself out. We had slightly better pressure, but where they had adjusted the water heater it was now far too hot. I measured the temp of the water coming out of the spigot @ 119.6 degrees farenheit. I tried to adjust it to no avail as it was either scalding or ice cold with no in-between to be found. While everything else was fantastic, the entire point of our stay was to sleep and shower while traveling and this property failed miserably for us in those aspects.

Over priced Hotel for family weekend at UF

Omelette bar was good and breakfast staff very freiendly We did not have hot water the entire stay. They had an issue with the circulation pump. The way the manager and staff handled this could not have been worse. The manager did not ever make himself available. I only heard from a staff (Arianna) member four days after with little empathy and a small credit to compensate us for our troubles. I am understanding that things break but the way the management team responded was not what I expect from people in the hospitality profession.

Super clean and perfect for what we needed when visiting UF for the weekend.

They have a hot tub, which is the reason I stayed here. One of the front desk personnel came into the elevator as I was going to the pool area, and I told her how happy I was about the hot tub. She told me to call maintenance if it wasn't working. It was the right temperature, but it was not working. She could have called for me as she knew they needed to reset something. Fix that and follow up with the customer, and I would have given you 5 stars.

I only wish breakfast was extended to 10:00am from 9:00.

Nice staff, clean hotel, good location and good breakfast

If you stay more than one night don’t expect anyone to maintain your room. We were told you have to ask for maid service but only after being gone all day and coming back to a room the same way we left it. I have never heard of that at any other hotel. Maybe they expected AI to take care of it.

Bathroom not clean. Multiple hairs on shower wall. Brown stains on body towels. For the huge surge in weekend price, I would have expected the basics of a clean room.
