Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park

Amazing views of the lake!!! Beautiful lobby, viewing and sitting area in main lodge. Friendly respectful and helpful staff. Caitlin was especially sweet. Room was clean and comfy. Surprised and a bit disappointed there was no in-room microwave and realized too late in the evening we forgot to ask where the ice machine was while we were checking in. I couldn’t find a floor map in the room to indicate its location. Lovely walking trails on property. Will return.

Perfect Fall getaway! We enjoyed our lake view. The Seafood Buffet was delicious. Best frog legs and catfish in the area.

This is a government run property , and so there's no direct connection between the efficiency or the convenience of things and the profit margin. Check in is only an hour and a half long. The restaurant opens for breakfast at seven am which is late for those of us who want to try to get on the road and do a day of traveling. Yet there are no refrigerators or microwaves supplied in any of the rooms , so that if you do want to prepare anything for yourself as far as meals it makes it challenging... The whole complex is a throwback to 1969....

It was a motel style room with the door in front, but felt very secure- as it was a brick front with no windows and a thick door. The windows are in the back of the unit with a view of the lake and a nice balcony with a couple chairs and a table! All things considered: Thumbs up!

Well in the booking it didn't say anything about stairs and the stairs leading to lower parking area are very step and no hand rails

We always enjoy staying at this property. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean.

We stayed just 1 night passing through. The checkin was smooth and the staff was helpful and accommodating. The room and outside was clean and the bed was comfortable. The balcony was a nice touch because we could see the lake and the dam. There's plenty of parking so we were able to park right in front of our room. We would 100% stay again.

The cottage was clean and comfortable. The area was very quiet and we saw deer, a groundhog and a possum while just sitting on the deck. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook meals. The hot water and water pressure were great. We were disappointed that the pool was closed for repairs but we did use the beach which was nice. We also rented a pontoon boat from the marina and the experience was outstanding. The staff at the marina and at check in at the lodge were all very friendly and efficient.

The young lady that checked us out was very helpful and understanding. It is a beautiful lake and a terrific view. However, the room was disgusting.

Great location, right on the lake. Older facilities that could use a little updating. The pool was closed when we were there for maintenance. The breakfast was good. The staff was great. I would stay there again.

Staff was amazing, very helpful and kind. Rooms were nice, definitely could use some updating but no complaints from my family.

Beautiful area, just needs some TLC. Everyone was super friendly and hospitable, which made for a great stay!

The beds were very small! Not queen size and smaller than most full size beds I’ve slept on. The access to bottom floor rooms was quite ridiculous with luggage and things. Lots of stairs and most don’t have handrails. There are no instructions by room phone with how to call the front desk. The pool wasn’t open on a busy holiday weekend which was very disappointing. A fridge and microwave would be nice considering it’s a resort style hotel and people usually stay multiple days

The room was a bit dated and the furniture could use some cleaning and repairs. There’s no microwave or refrigerator. The bathroom and room were clean and the staff were friendly. The thermostat doesn’t go lower than 68 and you can’t increase the fan speed so it struggled to keep up with the high humidity. The pool was closed and there was no notice of that until I got there. Had I known that I would have stopped at the beach but I was just too tired to go back out after being outside in the humidity all day.

100% amazing from the staff, room, view. Only one thing missing was small refrigerator in the room
