Motel 6 Gilroy, CA

The rooms smelled like mold. None of the bathrooms had a window or a vent so definitely have to keep the ac all it goes to avoid the mold/damp smell being unbearable. Did not want to open the window as it was filthy. One of the beds sheets was clearly slept in and there was blood splatters through out the room- bathroom wall, in between the bed area and a lot more under the bed which was weird but got nastier when I realize it was dead bugs smeared everywhere. We had 4 different rooms and all of them needed work, but mine 226 smelled the best thanks to whoever left the ac going! The random hairs everywhere like in the shower floor, shower walls, bedroom floor and sheets could’ve easily been cleaned up a little better to give the illusion it was properly cleaned…. Definitely would bring additional plastic bags to seal everything up when leaving it behind to not carry any little bugs home. Overall just needs a lot of TLC but the staff was as helpful as they could be with what they had, but remember it doesn’t hurt you to smile while doing your job so the guest don’t think they’re bothering you when going to ask for any help. I mean that towards one younger guy- everyone else really did try their best to give us great customer service so we appreciated that!

This was our 3rd stay in 5-7 years at this motel. The location was good, rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. reasonable price will stay again.

Stayed here several times. An attractive efficient room design. Rooms starting to show a little wear since last remodel. Cafe adjoining open for breakfast (good), but not dinner. Easy access to freeway and local attractions.

Clean and simple rooms.

Air conditioning was terrible . The pool had vomit and was not well maintained. Walls were extremely thin . And so much noise at all hours .

When I wanted to change floors, the front desk person was more than willing to assist me with changing my room from the second to the third floor. He was very friendly, very unbothered very customer focused.

I have stayed at the Motel 6 in Page, Arizona, a few times before and have always appreciated the brand's simple, clean, and budget-friendly concept. However, I was incredibly and pleasantly surprised by this Gilroy location. Not only was the Saturday night rate exceptionally affordable, but the room amenities and overall quality were noticeably superior to what I expected. The room was spotless, modern, and offered everything a road-tripper needs for a comfortable night's rest. If you need a reliable, clean, and highly economical place to stay near the highway, I highly recommend this property. I will definitely keep it on my radar for future road trips!

Property was very clean Did I have knee problems and the elevator wasn’t working so I had to climb that stairs and that was torture for my knee
