I liked the location.

Beautiful location, clean quiet rooms and helpful staff overall, but I felt for the price of the rooms, more extras should have been included. I wasn’t aware of anything other than a coffee maker in the room that was included with our stay. Spa, tram are extra, and no continental breakfast or any food/beverage included beyond water and 2 k cups worth of regular caffeinated coffee . And the pool was SALT water??? Yuck. Unfortunately for what I was looking for there are better options I should have pursued, esp for this price range. $350/night for a single king bed room that was about average size for any hotel room that would have 2 queen size beds, although there WAS a small 2 seat couch and writing desk in place of a 2nd bed. Point is, room SIZE is adequate but certainly not any bigger than any double bed room out there. I was rather underwhelmed, esp after realizing that almost everything there was extra cost.

Huge property with stellar views. It's a very busy property, but our room was quiet and comfortable. The tram up the mountain and the restaurants up on top were good. The gym was easily accessible.

Amazing stay at Alyeska! Beautiful rooms and wonderful amenities throughout the resort, plus the friendliest staff. The lounge for Black Diamond guests was a real treat and service was top notch. The full day hydrotherapy at the Nordic Spa is a must do!

Old and dated resort. Limited dining options. Overpriced restaurants with mediocre food.

Beautiful place to stay. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. It would have been nice to have a closer place to park, but valet was an option we didn't take advantage of. The tram was amazing!

We found a hidden gem in Alaska, especially in Girdwood, AK. This is a great resort, at first when I read about this resort I thought they misspelled the name but actually it is called Alyeska Resort. This resort has a long history and it is located in a forest, right beneath Alyeska Mountain. Great drive from Anchorage to Girdwood with breathtaking views of Turnagain Arm, where are several places where you can take photos. The access to the Resort is very easy, surrounded by so cozy town of Girdwood, the most we really enjoyed the things that resort offers: Tram to the mountain Alyeska, where you can really enjoy the magnificent views and there is an affordable restaurant where you and your family can enjoy great food, relax under the sun, since we traveled in July we spent time by just relaxing up on the top, After you can take moderate hike down to the valley/resort. There are many great information boards where they explains how easy/moderate or difficult hikes are. Great salt water pool/spa and the gym, our family had a blast staying at the resort. In summer the day hours are longer , but resort has heavy curtains so you can sleep without eye covers. We really liked the interior of the hotel: the perfect mix of grand mountainside elegance and cozy alpine retreat, spaces feel incredibly warm and welcoming, decorated with Alaskan Artwork. The staff is very friendly, despite our late arrival they helped us to check in with positive attitude. Beds/pillows are very comfy.

Fitness center was especially clean and well maintained with respect to pool, hot tub, and sauna.

Housekeeping was inconsistent. Our room was not serviced to the standard expected for a resort of this caliber, and it often felt difficult to get basic issues addressed. The biggest problem was communication. Guest Services almost never answered the phone. When calls went unanswered, the voicemail mailbox was full, making it impossible to leave a message or request assistance. Calling the resort’s main number was equally frustrating because the automated phone system repeatedly sent callers in circles without connecting to a person. After multiple attempts, we were still unable to reach anyone. A luxury resort should make it easy for guests to obtain assistance, especially when they are already on the property. Unfortunately, the lack of responsive customer service overshadowed what is otherwise a beautiful setting with excellent access to the surrounding mountains. The property has tremendous potential, but management needs to improve staffing, maintain functional phone and voicemail systems, and ensure guests can quickly reach someone when they need help. Those changes alone would make a significant difference in the overall guest experience.

Needs improvement: Room was cold -- we tried to increase temp, but it stayed cool the entire stay; room had no desk or table -- we had work to do and had to relocate to find a place to do it Overall it was a wonderful stay

The hotel is stunningly beautiful! The room was modern, pretty, very comfortable bed, with a priceless view!

The restaurants were very good and we loved the North Face trail.

It was a great stay for out last night in Alaska after a 2 week stay. We drove the next morning to the airport. We had no issues, hotel was clean and beautiful. We had nightcap reservation and took the tram up at 9pm. The only disappointment was that they were not serving the "bar menu" which was why I had made the night cap reservation, we had a very late lunch so we didn't want the dinner menu but it was still good.

Great views of Denali Room was mediocre and the gym was pathetic for the price we paid.
-
Black Diamond was fabulous!
-
Obviously we really enjoyed the upgraded amenities like the black diamond lounge but the staff were very friendly to make our stay very pleasant.

The staff was nice. Very friendly. Especially the bartender in the aBar

This is a beautiful resort with a distinctly European alpine feel to it, which I loved. The room was spacious and well-appointed, had a comfortable bed and a nice view. The area has a secluded feel to it, and provides hiking opportunities with easy, moderate and advanced trails. I can imagine it's also a really fun ski resort in winter. There are multiple high-quality food options on site.
