St. Mary Village

The room did not have a microwave and I asked if there was one on the property we could use, the receptionist said I could go across the parking lot to the Supermarket and use theirs. Also, our refrigerator stopped working and we had to throw away all our food that we were using for lunch. There are three eateries on site but the sandwich shop was closed. The restaurant and lounge serve the same menu but they wouldn’t open the restaurant until 5:00 p.m. We tried to have lunch but had to wait in line with five other families. I decided to order take out which took over 30 minutes. Everyone else just left. I was so surprised they wouldn’t open the restaurant for the others to eat. The property has numerous buildings. The hotel that houses the restaurants, a coffee shop, and a gift shop. A separate 3-story building with rooms, a separate shopping store, and a gas station. Everything you need all in one place. But, having the restaurant in a separate building is fine if it’s convenient. To get to the restaurant, you have to walk through the parking lot and around the entire main building to get to the entrance. Then we noticed, there’s an entrance that faces the hotel building.but management said it wasn’t available.

Lovely view of the mountains with a babbling brook nearby. The room was big and the furnishings were nice.

Ideal location for exploring Many Glacier area. Room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was recently updated, a nice touch. Staff was helpful.

The breakfast buffet was great, but no lower cost cafe for ala cart breakfast menu.

Great location to the East entrance

Excellent location just outside the East Glacier entrance to the national park. Easy access to Many Glacier and Two Medicine areas as well. Our 3rd floor room in the Grand Lodge building had a large balcony where we could enjoy amazing views of a river and the mountains in the park - best at sunset and sunrise. Room was a bit dated but with a comfortable bed, reclining chair, desk, Nespresso machine, and mini fridge. Maintenance quickly resolved reported issues with squeaky bathroom door and replacement light bulb. A couple of negatives… old, stained rug; mildewy grout around the tub and between some tile; housekeeping does minimal work (emptied trash cans and replaced towels - didn’t make beds, replace dirty coffee mugs or other items in coffee station).

Loved the Village, so convenient to the park. Would definitely stay again

Traveled with another couple. When we arrived before official check in time, we were promised third floor rooms with a view if we gave them extra time to get the rooms cleaned & ready. We checked in after dinner (plenty of time to have rooms ready) only to be told that the only rooms left were 2 on the 1st floor and one on the second. We settled for the 2 on the 1st floor so that we were near our travel companions. Their room had no telephone, a broken deadbolt and mold in the shower. Manager did comp us 2 mornings of the breakfast buffet (which was nothing to write home about and overpriced). They also cleaned the mold that should never have been there. Considering the area of east Glacier, St Mary is the only game in town. It’s much smaller than it appears on line. We were there near the end of the season, but that really shouldn’t matter.
