Beautiful stay. Highly recommend if you are looking for a low key weekend and way to unplug. The property is small but very beautiful.

Room ver clean, very quiet, staff was very nice and professional

We had a wonderful time. The staff were so friendly, the room was incredible, and we just loved the vibe of Glen Ellen as a whole so it was an excellent location too. Honestly, not much. I'd probably say the breakfast is lacking but that's about it. Not really a problem considering everything else and breakfast was still nice - just perhaps not what you'd expect given the cost (but you're paying for the room and other facilities anyway).

Very clean and unique getaway

Excellent wine hour. Good restaurant nearby Good breakfast

I will be back! Precious property set amongst beautiful gardens. Loved the breakfast, wine tastings in the evenings, and conveniently located in Sonoma.

Best place to stay in Glen Ellen
-
Our ryokan room had a great deep soaking tub Parking was fine Housekeeping service was adequate When we checked in our room only had one half roll of toilet paper Breakfast time was chaotic and there was not enough food for the people staying at the hotel Room was clean but could use updating to maintain a 5 star rating WiFi not the strongest or uniform Climate control in the room was variable

Happy hour wines and snacks were good. Staff was friendly. Pool area was nice. Room was updated and clean, but lacked a closet. Overall grounds felt on the decline. Landscaping was neglected in some areas.

Breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. Not to mention fresh baked cookies daily along with a reception hour! Our bed was low to floor which may present a problem for some people.

Lovely Japanese vibe, clean room, lovely staff, great wine tasting

All the trees and greenery around. The breakfast and the late afternoon wine tasting with appetizers. Lovely outdoor spaces and heated pool. The room was too dark, the bathtub a little strange and difficult to get into to take a shower. No instructions for using the coffee maker and to turn the main light on and off you could only do it on a small remote, which no one explained.

The room is amazing! It's so beautiful, and it was very quiet. The bed is comfortable and the pillows are so good we ordered two for ourselves. This is the only place I've ever stayed that has adequate towels - in fact, they're the same brand we own. The robes are also great. Terrific shower and enormous tub. I love how the music softly plays as you go to your room. The whole thing has a real Japanese feel and, since we love Japan, that was perfect for us. The staff were also great - very friendly and helpful. Breakfast isn't stellar, but it's good enough - if you like bagels and cream cheese, which I do. They also have an egg dish each day, pastries, salad, some fruit. The only tiny drawback to our room was we were in a garden room, and the water feature doesn't make a water noise - just a motor noise. But that is one tiny things in an otherwise stellar stay.

Breakfast was the best…so delicious! Sake and wine happy hour exquisite. Room and grounds were peaceful. Met likeminded travelers. Definitely will revisit

Honestly, everything was perfect — the breakfast, the wine tasting, the facilities, and the staff. not at this time

We would definitely be back! Nothing

The room was nice. Breakfast was amazing! They offered cookies, wine, and a daily wine tasting with a cheeseboard. They had other amenities that we didn't partake in, but if we had, I'm sure they would've been amazing. Cute little place. Would for sure stay there again.

Wonderfully quiet and comfortable stay, nice helpful friendly staff, great and fresh light breakfast, cookies and wine (incl ports and saki) in the evenings, guest wineries doing pourings in the late afternoon, walked to eat at Star, short drive to Jack London for a walk/hike, easy to get downtown Sonoma and all the wineries in the region. Pool and hot tub area could use an update, but the temps were good and they seemed lightly used by guests... at least for our stay. Three people in the jacuzzi would be crowded. But this is very minor to the overall experience.
