The Inn at Silver Creek Resort Retreat

The property is old but it was very clean and definitely has a mountain feel. The pillows were horrible. Like big chunky blobs. I did not sleep well because of it. The mattress was pretty bouncy. It was a great place to stay for the price and the staff were very nice!

It’s not a spectacular property, but it is priced right and you don’t go on vacation to sit in a hotel room. 4 hot tubs, a pool, sauna, and exercise room are great additions to the views and everything else.

I would say this is an OK option based on necessity, but I would not book this if I was wanting an upscale or full vacation experience. The property is run down a bit and the elevators and laundry rooms were all very dirty. It is also used for extended stay guests so I don't this the grounds are kept up if only for vacationers.

The mattress on the Murphy bed was horrible and thin. The shower hardware in the shower was falling apart. The reception at check in was not pleasant.

The hotel is obviously old but you can tell where they have updated things. My main complaint was the smell on the third floor. I think the carpets may need to be removed it was mildew and musty.

It was like a college dorm. So outdated and dirty. Would not recommend.

The pool and hot tubs were on point and so was the barber shop and arcade room.

I don't remember any breakfast. The hotel was pretty much the only game in town. Extremely outdated rooms. Might work fine in the winter but in August no AC, but a cheap, barely adequate fan was provided. Apparently there was a pool available, but from our room it was over the hill and through the dale to get there so we didn't attempt the journey. Check-in staff were quirky and not knowledgeable. Stay with a sense of humor and adventure.

The person who checked us in at reception was extremely rude and not welcoming.

The inside of the rooms were pretty beat up. The woodwork was all scratched up. Really didn't appreciate the dogs barking outside. I would recommend keeping the pets secluded in their own area so we didnt have to hear them.

Great place and great sraff

There is a market on the opposite side of the door. So you can literally grocery shop over there and cook at home as its a full apartment. I would recommend at least a week to stay at this resort it was cozy and fun and its not far from activities.

This was our fourth stay at this hotel. Its always easy to check in and the room service was great. Price as compared to other hotels in the area is good. We stay there because the location gives us several choices to visit other towns or locations in the area that are short drives away. The hotel is near a large grocery store and gas station which is also a plus. They advertise rooms without air conditioning, but temp in the room during summer (we stay in August) was comfortable.

Woman at front desk was very surly. She was not even the person waiting on me and interjected in my conversation telling me I was not going to get in to RMNP before 9am if I don't have a timed entry. I've done it before and it works fine. We did it the next day with no problem. She should keep her mouth shut if she doesn't know what she is talking about!

It had great amenities! The rooms were nice as well. It was great for our family of 6.
