Beautiful lodges and Grand Canyon

My husband and I went drove 12 hours to come out there just to be told that there was not gonna be any power and so we only had to stay there one night and it ruined our plans. I wish we were better informed and I wish they would’ve waited to the weekday to do something like that but mother nature calls so we understand

Just a dream come true to be a five minute walk from the Grand Canyon. The hotel staff was even able to put a rollaway bed in the room for my teen daughter. Location, location, location!

Please do not believe the negative reviews. I have no idea why someone would write such negative comments which are not true. This hotel is comfortable and clean.

We arrived later than we had hoped, unfortunately as it would have been wonderful to wander the area in the evening. When looking at distances, one should be aware that there is a significant distance between the north rim and the south rim. Waking up in the park was lovely and the distance to the south rim was about 4 minutes by vehicle. The park is beautiful and well maintained. We appreciated the care in which staff treat the land. The hotel is lovely, check in was a little difficult in the dark however we were able to find our way. Check in was smooth, room was clean and the shower was hot! Breakfast in the morning was lovely, be aware that its not included in the hotel fees.

The rooms are clean. It was peaceful and we slept well. The person for check in was rude. No eye contact and dismissive.

Great spot to start your gran canyon adventure. Everyone is nice and helpful. The variety of food in the food court is good, as the quality. But you go there not for the food but for the unforgettable experience of gc outdoors ( the two spots we tried outside the park were ok but overpriced). Strongly recommend to book a lodge in the park, this one if possible.

Seems like the property has been refurbished in the last couple years in the lodge which is great for a national park. Housekeeping done only as a request. Parking is a real issue..was locked out of room as key stopped working...but it was 50 percent better than I expected.
