Staybridge Suites Grand Rapids South by IHG

It was a very clean hotel. The lobby was very large and beautiful. The outdoor fireplace area was nice. The pool was small and cold. Breakfast was good.

The shower doors kept opening during my shower.

Well kept&clean room breakfast was fresh,hot. Overall stay 7/10 needs shuttle/shuttles from the airport transportation side of things.When it comes to traveling too it . Other then that a lovely stay indeed.

This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. Everything was so clean, the staff were wonderful, and the rooms were so spacious and comfortable. From now on I will look at Staybridge Suites first when booking a hotel. If I could I would give this property 10 stars.

The room, a suite, was great. Full kitchen with full size refrigerator, The king bed was great. Our room was at an outside door and every time the door closed it made a very loud banging noise. One of the curtains had something on it that looked like someone had used it to blow their nose. Disgusting! The biggest drawback is the complimentary breakfast. The area was cramped. The scrambled eggs were ok but too wet. The sausage and bacon was poor quality and not tasty. No donuts or danish or other good tasting pastry. Instead they offered a very dry, almost tasteless kind of breakfast bread. The breakfast staff was lazy and seemingly unaware that supplies were running out. Coffee ran out. Utinsils and cups ran out. The one and only salt shaker didn't work, etc. On the upside the price was very fair ($137 including taxes and fees) and the location is off the main road, conveniently located to the expressway, shopping, fast food, a movie theater, and a very good restaurant/bar right next door. Don't buy snacks, a tiny bag of Doritos was $4.50.

Great location. There is a movie theater and nail salon short walk away. Right off highway so getting around is easy.

Awesome stay

Grand Rapids was the last stop on a very long road trip over 10 days. The Staybridge was a nice place to stay. Having a kitchenette was a nice bonus although we didn’t use it. It was a great property with nice amenities.

They seemed to be in a hurry to shut the place. 2. No housekeeping at all! That’s the most ridiculous experience ever. No towels being replaced, no nothing at all! 3: Terrible cleanliness all around! The carpets outside and inside were dirty, stinking, never vacuumed. 4. The sliding door of our bathroom wouldn’t shut, thus causing the whole bathroom to be filled with water whenever someone showered! They couldn’t fix it or offer a different room when brought to their attention! 5. The staff appeared to be a bunch of high school or college kids who were more interested in hanging out with each other and chatting than do their job!

No, it was excellent

Everything was good first day but the second day the AC is not working in my room. It was so hot. I told them to come fix it, but they not come fix it. until morning.

Our last day the kitchen staff called in and there was nothing other than toast, fruit and cereal to eat. N hot food. The front desk did not help supply any compensation for this which was upsetting especially considering that I had children with me.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and professional.

Each morning of our 4 night stay, the breakfast was lacking. Waffle irons without waffle batter. Oatmeal container scraped empty. Coffee carafes empty, or with coffee grounds pouring out into your cup. Eggs pan was empty. Pastry cabinet empty. Cereal available but no milk. The first morning, the front desk staff jumped in to help restock breakfast, but was rolling their eyes at how much work needed to be done. The next morning, it was somehow worse, but this time the front desk staff couldn’t be bothered and with only one staff assigned to the breakfast she basically apologized for being short staffed but also said she would not be restocking items. There was more than an hour left before breakfast time ended. This was truly the most disappointing hotel breakfast experience we have ever come across. Another guest left and returned with McDonald’s breakfast to feed her family. Be prepared to provide your own breakfast if you stay here.
