Wildwood Resort & Marina

I arrived after traveling all day to discover a deserted hotel. When pressed, the office person told me there were two other guests somewhere in other buildings and that she was departing at 5. The restaurant was not open that night (even though I had inquired about it) and she gave me a list or places all 10+ miles away on small country roads. Also, my cell phone did not work because it was so remote. She gave me the phone number of an employee somewhere "on site," in case of emergency, but this was useless without a phone signal. I did not feel safe staying there in rural Tennessee all on my own and I left before it got dark. I had very much hoped to receive a refund, but have seen nothing yet. The place looks like maybe it's great on the weekends? but very creepy with a big empty parking lot and nobody there.

We stayed in the Airstream trailer called Loretta. It was beautiful! The setting by the lake was beautiful too. There was a fire pit with chairs and supplies to make s'mores too. There was a restaurant on-site, but we brought our own food. We wish we could have enjoyed the outside areas more, but it was just too hot the day we were there.

Largemouth was very nice! Grandkids loved staying on a boat! The weather……but I know you can’t do anything about that!

Peaceful nice getaway in an airstream will definitely return

Wildwood Resort is an excellent place offering peace and quiet just don't go there in their offseason. A major drawback is the resort does not have any backup power such as a generator for IF the power goes out. During my stay there was a cold, windy,, rainy storm and the electricity went out and was out all night it was very cold in the 30's outside and it got very cold in my unit. I went to the office and a note was on the door saying that the staff had left early. There was no one available and I had to call twice for someone to come and help me get some heat in my very cold and dark room. I was brought a space heater. I had to sleep with all my clothes, a hat, and socks to stay warm. No one ever came later to see how I was or to apologize for the inconvenience that I sadly experienced because they have no generator power backup.

The room was spotless and we fell in love with the robes. It was awesome they had a Keurig and we had brought our special brands with us. Checking in was a no brainer..we were welcomed with a smile and were greeted by name. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast though on the last day we thought the biscuits should have been cooked a little longer and the bacon should have been more crisp. I can't comment on the menu food as I had to change mine to a special plate because I cannot eat spicy food and I had to order something different. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our food from the restaurant. The trout with potato medley was awesome. I highly recommend the sunset view. We stayed in Charley and the air conditioner was a bit noisy.

It's beautiful! At night and in the daylight. Quiet, beautiful rooms and a wonderful breakfast!! Also, Shannon at the front desk was so helpful and kind with our late check in Nothing! It was beautiful and we will definitely be back!

We had rented one of Airstreams and it was full of gnats and stink bugs, I went to the office and explained the situation, and they were happy to make other’s arrangements on the property which was an upgrade, they did not charge us for the upgrade and the staff was extremely friendly and very helpful and accommodating. I would stay again. Shannon was at the front desk and she was awesome!!!!

Only issue was w the bathroom door not staying open and no ice bucket on my 2nd stay there Employes are great- love Jennifer! Definitely recommend the secret hidden gem
