The Highlands at Harbor Springs

The Highlands was a fantastic surprise! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the beautiful mountain location (with complementary chair lift), lovely pool, and excellent food. Would highly recommend.

I liked the rooms and the layout but didn’t like that they don’t have smart TV or movie channels. Liked that they had a restaurant but didn’t have good service and food was overpriced. I had the do not disturb on door most days but the day I took it off to get room cleaned-nobody showed up. When I asked for refills and towels, they gave me a bag of coffee for my room that only had an espresso maker.

The staff at the lodge where we stayed were very friendly and helpful. The outdoor heated pool (at the Main Lodge) was actually heated! Very nice. The chair lift was fun and a relaxing way to go up the mountain and get partial views of the Petoskey area.

Room clean but whole 2nd floor had an odd smell. Staff at front desk didn't seem very knowledgeable and had to make calls for things like upgrading or moving to a different room, late check out etc. TV in our suite was located so that you were unable to view from the pull down bed. Did not visit the restaurants on site but the small pool we had access to was nice but the corresponding swim to hot tub was not set to hot tub temperature and controls locked down so you weren't able to access. Jets were not set on jet mode and more like a whispering flow. Jet tub in room didn't work as tub didn't allow you to fill water past the jets...disappointing.

This place was perfect for my family of five. Lots of space tons of activities on the grounds for us to do and the staff was amazing. They even helped me with a spare and change a tire on my van! The pool, paddle boats, lawn games and s’mores at night were all a bonus. We’re definitely coming back.

Excellent staff, amenities, and setting. The pools were heated and comfortable, and out kids spent all day in there. Maintenance in room had a few issues but very clean and comfortable.

The room was clean and well-appointed and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The resort offered tons of amenities and a relaxing environment, perfect for winding down and getting away from the hustle and bustle.

Setting was beautiful with a golf course on the drive into the property. Highlights of the stay included taking a campfire s'more on the chairlift at sunset, the giant mini-putting green, morning yoga, the updated rooms, and proximity to nearby Harbour Springs. Specifically, we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and updated the rooms were. The only downside was lack of signage upon arrival which would've been helpful to direct you to check in before driving up to the property, where to park, etc.

Yall do an amazing job. Ive stayed a few times and i will keep coming back. Love the beds, so comfy! The rooms are clean and updated. Staff is always so helpful. Great price for the location Not much!

Amazing place to spend vacations with your family. Super friendly staff , great food, super clean and beautiful. Definitely will be back , totally recommend it

The room was outdated

Loved the property and lots of things to do. The shampoo and conditioner were not good quality, and the toilet paper was horrible.

Clean, comfortable room and pretty lobby. Breakfast was delicious. The pool was sparkling and refreshing. The staff could not have been more helpful. We had a lovely stay at the Highlands.

The newly remodeled rooms were beautiful and the staff was awesome.

Enjoyed the location of the property, friendly people and multiple pool options. Overall condition of the property is dated and feels tired. Exterior of main lodge in need of repairs in several areas.

Some of the staff was great, Some were not. Most disappointing was the Cafe Shop. They ran out of muffins and pastries for two days and cream for one day.
