The Highlands at Harbor Springs

Everything was adequate; nothing over the top impressive and the age is starting to show in, on, and around the condos. Probably a little over priced (vacancy rate was very low) for what you get. You can get a much bigger or newer place in off-season Rocky Mountain ski resorts. Just sayin'. I'll definitely go back but probably not this particular condo building.

Very pleased with our stay, the rooms were roomy and quite comfortable We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and we ate all our meals at the Highlands dining rooms and the food and service was excellent. We will be back!

Great place for mountain biking

Really liked the full kitchen and couch living space. The pull down Murphy bed was space saving and comfortable. Liked having a patio to sit outside. Service at the restaurant was really poor.

We loved the Highlands. The restaurant was great with delicious food, our room and the facility was clean, and staff were all very helpful. It was great to go up on the ski lift and do some hiking on the mountains. Gorgeous views from up there and everywhere. It was handy to have The Cafe (little store with food and more) onsite with many items to make our stay better. The pool was clean and wonderfully refreshing. We highly recommend the Highlands!

Lovely place. Great destination with lots of activities on the property. I didn’t have time to take advantage of the amenities sadly. But I would recommend the piece for families or groups who are interested in golf, skiing, and other activities.

-once opened both there is a very tight space between the two at one of the corners - it caused me a bad injury on my small toe and ripped off half of my nail- Cleaning was supposed to be daily- despite letting the crew know at 12 pm that we are heading out and please try and clean, while we are gone, when we returned at 3:30 the room wasn't cleaned , when I mentioned and complained to the Manager she sounded as if it was our fault that we didn't call the FD. This took me with bit of a shock as daily cleaning was part of the routine. This was a big disappointment. They need to change the layout of their beds or do something else to prevent the injury which is a biggest safety issue.

Pool was great

They had movie night on the grass for families, with pillows, blankets and popcorn. There is a small pond where you can take a paddle boat out, we were there for ball games and never got back in time to enjoy this. They had lots of free activities which was great! There is a pool & hot tub, which the kids loved but it's outdoors, which was nice, as its summer, but would be better if it was indoors during winter, esp in Michigan. Bummer there is no breakfast available (for free)They may have it at the restaurant on site, but after seeing that a hamburger was $25 we walked out of the restaurant and drove back to town...lol... and never went back If you are a coffee drinker, especially a plain, black coffee drinker, be prepared to run to the gas station in the morning, they have the pods but they are flavored. Many in our group weren't too happy about that either...lol. No microwave, but amazing soft robes, a fridge and a huge tv, not to mention the amazing shower!

I say this just to help those who might have a harder time with softish mattresses or musty odors. But it really wasn't a big deal for us. It was a pleasant stay, and we will definitely return.

The Highlands was a fantastic surprise! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the beautiful mountain location (with complementary chair lift), lovely pool, and excellent food. Would highly recommend.

I liked the rooms and the layout but didn’t like that they don’t have smart TV or movie channels. Liked that they had a restaurant but didn’t have good service and food was overpriced. I had the do not disturb on door most days but the day I took it off to get room cleaned-nobody showed up. When I asked for refills and towels, they gave me a bag of coffee for my room that only had an espresso maker.

The staff at the lodge where we stayed were very friendly and helpful. The outdoor heated pool (at the Main Lodge) was actually heated! Very nice. The chair lift was fun and a relaxing way to go up the mountain and get partial views of the Petoskey area.
