We had a large comfortable room with a great view of the lake. The overall facility is about 100 years old and does show its age somewhat.

We have to left the door room open almost all the time. Breakfast was included but we only find out at the end of the reservation. The pool was very cold [ no heater] In general the hotel view and the firepit at night was the most beautiful.

Family stayed in bunkhouse and the railings are rotting away from the stairs, front roof is rotted out and room was half remodeled. TVs are ancient with less than ideal streaming functionality(struggled greatly and this is coming from a pretty tech savvy person). For price/pictures on web-site our stay was a disappointment. If, you can update the surrounding property inline with the updated pool area it would be a dramatic improvement. Add some better maintenance of the property: -landscaping -replace broken children’s amenities I.e., lawn connect fours, corn hole platforms propped up with rocks and kayaks/boats strewn about vs racked up Would recommend the property with the staff carrying it greatly. But, would need to lower expectations of a luxury advertised resort.

I feel breakfast could be improved. The place is beautiful and staff is very attentive - I requested new sheets and received them right away!

Nice property, excellent staff.

The room had a beautiful lake view. There was a second room with bunk beds which was fun for the kids. Kayaking was fun, but swimming in the lake was challenging since there is no beach or ladder off the dock. My kids loved the smores over the fire pit

The property was good and the pool areas were nice. the restaurant was the best part. The kids had fun on the paddle boards and the kayaks they had on site. The room however, was pretty dirty. There were stains on the sheets and the comforter, and the maintenance of the outside of the buildings were not very kept up with. It looked like a quick flip from an old hotel. The pictures on the property were a bit deceiving.

However, I did feel that the rooms could be better cleaned and updated. I hope you find this feedback constructive as you continue to make improvements for future guests.

the floor was filthy. Sort of sandy and seemed like a lot of pet hair on it. Otherwise all was good

Great scenic location on the lake. Tasty continental breakfast included with our stay, set in the lounge with a great view of the lake. I’d recommend Silver Birches and would stay there again!

We loved all the amenities that the property offered such as boat rides, swimming (lake and pool), the pool bar, common areas, and the staff was very friendly. Colleen and Sheri at the desk were wonderful. We missed out on the s’mores and champagne due to weather! The property needed maintenance such as the refrigerator in our room was off balance, ceiling and other areas needed either to be touched up, lots of things that squeaked and were loud (bathroom fan, bed, and Air Conditioning). I was very surprised that housekeeping was only available on request and it is only what you ask them to do (clean towels, make the bed, and provide items.). Nothing was swept or wiped down. I asked for soap to wash the dishes we used in our room. We had to give the front desk (in person) a list. I didn’t want to be that person. I just felt it was part of the experience.

very nice hotel. it is a historic hotel with no elevators so you have to know what to expect. rooms are very nice, finished very nicely with great views of lake wallenpaupack. little nice touches like champagne toast at sunset, evening firepits with smores, ect. if you are looking for a big resort type hotel, stay away from lake wallenpaupack all together. this is a very nice, historic, clean (with a few cobwebs) and friendly hotel with great charm and awesome views.

Very dirty and mold on steps. Ac didn't work at night cause curtains had to be pulled over it. Clearly not worth 650 a night

A plus!

Location The room could have been cleaner. I found long blond hair in the bed! Being both bold, it was not relishing. One bath towel was stained too. The TV never worked but again we didn't come to watch TV. The room was pretty though. Breakfast outside was ok, but not when it's raining all the time. The staff was wonderful, very welcoming and courteous.
