The Guest House Inn on Courthouse Square

Loved it! The Guesthouse is like staying at a friend’s house. Very comfortable relaxing lodging experience. Different than staying in a regular hotel. A little more money but well worth it! I will probably stay there again when I’m in the area. Highly recommend the Guesthouse if you want your stay to be part of the experience!

All was fine except the upstairs air conditioner could not keep up with the high temps during the day. Personnel offered to bring a window air conditioner. We were in the Parker house.

Clean house comfortable beds great locaton

Nice and quiet. Nice little town very friendly. Lots of hiking and things to do at your own pace.

The kitchen did have cooking equipment. We did not stay long enough to cook there or have breakfast.

Room and house were very clean and well equipped.

Crazy expensive for such a small room. Shared dorm style bathroom. Called a box of frosted flakes a 'continental breakfast'

We are over 70 and we did not have a bathroom in our room. I may have read this, but I don’t recall reading it. We would not have rented this room if I’d known it didn’t have a bathroom in the room. Luckily, the room we would have shared the bathroom with was not occupied, but we still had to go out of our room, utilize the bathroom. Remember the code to get back in our bedroom a couple of times a night. Also, the stairs going up to the room, and all rooms are located on the second floor, are very narrow and a bit dangerous for older people. But, even though the room was very old, it was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

Spacious and clean. Good choice for families

My wife and I came for a visit on the Amtrak train to the town of Hinton West Virginia. Stephinie was a very helpful point of contact. The property was beautiful. The Allmans were very helpful and generous. We loved Hinton WV. Everything we did was within walking distance of the train station. We are already planning our next visit.

Super clean great location

Great time of year to visit in the off season. We had the whole house to ourselves. Really enjoyed the living area in the evening.

1)there are stairs from the street to get down to the sidewalk and the slippy concrete stairs up to porch and then perilous,steep stairs up to second floor. 2) you can take suitcases around stairs from street, but you have to roll yr suitcase down to where the main guesthouse is. 3) the stairs are not un-steep, and when we were there, no lighting, so the family slept in the two beds and left lights on in bathroom and down hall to spare us from tumbling down stairs during night 4) the good television is in the big bedroom, but still non-standard channels throughout. 5) if you want breakfast, bring your own. 6) the market down the street has really good food (try the pizza), but closes wicked early, esp on sunday. 7) vickie is the best. she made our stay so, so much better.

The townhouse was very nice and clean. The staff are great and confirmed everything via text plus answered my questions very quickly.
