Land's End Resort

I loved this hotel. The location was fabulous with easy access to walk on the beach. The balcony off the room was wonderful. Great views from the room. The restaurant dinner food was good. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

We had some very inconvenient times because that was all was left. They also don’t offer a robe to go from the room to the hot tub. As much as we’re paying in the summer for the rooms, there should be at least robes. The staff made me wait 10 to 15 minutes for them to give me towels for the spa, but once inside there are stacks and stacks of towels available that the staff did not tell me about. I suggest perhaps if you don’t want robes in every room that you issue the robes with the spa reservation and keep them behind the front desk instead of towels that there are plenty of in the spa! It would also be helpful if upon reservation it linked to you, the spa time schedule or at least indicated to book your spas early!

Beautifully located at the end of Homer Spit, our room provided incredibly scenic views of the water and surrounding landscape!

It's not exactly what I would consider a resort, just a regular hotel in a good location. It's walking distance to the shops, activities and restaurants on The Spit. The room was clean but small. We didn't eat at the hotel or use the bar or pool. It was really just a base for our 3 days of activities - boat trips, fishing etc - and worked well for that.

End of the spit in Homer, great location! Beautiful view, get a room with a view. No amenities except coffee pot, no snacks in vending and it gets pretty smelly if you open the door or the windows, seagull poop. It definitely has some character, staff is not good they're put out with any requests, they feel bothered and want to get back to their phones.

Good property at the end of the Homer Spit on Kachemek Bay. Clean and comfortable. Most of the staff was very nice but had a bad experience with the on-premise restaurant host.

The view from our room was beautiful. Probably the best part of the room. It's what you are paying for when you stay here. The bed was comfortable. The room felt crowded. Not much space to move around, especially in the bathroom; just enough room for the toilet & tub/shower. The balcony is small. We couldn't sit on the chairs on the balcony because they had bird poop on them. Even with being tipped up, the birds still got them. You had to be careful which outside stairs you used because they were also covered in bird poop. Some were worse than others. With the birds roosting on the roof it's pretty unavoidable. We had dinner in the restaurant 1 night. It was ok. Nothing spectacular. We didn't use the hot tub or pool. We enjoyed walking along the beach and seeing the boats & ships come & go and the sea otters play in the water. The room had a funky smell. Not sure if all rooms were had this smell but ours did. While we enjoyed our stay in Homer, staying at Lands End was not the highlight of our trip.

Nice place, mainly because of the view. The rooms are old and the bathroom was more like a hospital bathroom. The sauna and the outdoor hot tub overlooking the mountains were a highlight.

We loved our beach front condo. Great views.

Lots to say about this place. We had a more deluxe room in what they call the Lodges, separate buildings that I think are privately owned and Land's End leases. While the room was large, quiet, comfortable and very nice -- there is limited housekeeping and it's a good walk to the main entrance for staff help, any amenity (so we didn't use any, and they have to be reserved in advance), restaurant. Check in wasn't available on time, over an hour late, problems with the electronic key, and just various inconveniences. It is the only option that's super close to everything on the Spit, but town isn't very far away. It was great to just walk out and walk on the long beach. So I have mixed feelings about Land's End. The brightest spot was a front desk employee, Heidi, who was amazing and the best.

Great for our family and the view was exceptional! Highly recommend.

Great place to stay, beautiful room to enjoy

Being right on the beach! Waking up to the peace and tranquility, the fresh air. The tub didn’t drain very well.

Location was exceptional at the end of the spit, easy walking to restaurants, tours, shops. The layout of our room was perfect, with a small but comfortable living area with a great view of the inlet. The hot tub was pretty foamy

Every thing was great until the headboard fell off the wall and exposed an open electrical box luckily my wife was not yet in the bed at the time but was arranging the bedding The staff was notified and the headboard was removed but the incident was not passed on to the morning staff I hope we will be compensated for this incident

Can’t beat the location if you’re fishing from Homer from on the spit. Rooms are clean if you get an ocean view it’s even better. Overall, it’s worth the money they charge. The only improvement would be a nice breakfast place. All they have is a snack bar.

The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. The views and amenities are hard to beat (and will absolutely spoil you). When the weather cancelled our plans, we were able to snag a private suana and pool reservation. Location, location, location. The rooms were tiny and trying to share the full-size bed that was butted against the wall did not make for a great sleep. I wish the bar opened a little before the restaurant - we wanted to grab drinks before our evening plans but it was always closed before and after our excursions.
