The Kahala Hotel & Resort

We love the hotel as it was in the quiet part of town. Secluded and quiet. The beach is behind some corals/rocks so the waves never reach the shore. This is perfect for little kids or adults that want calm waters. Service was amazing and the restaurants within the property are all delicious. We stayed in the dolphin villas and seeing them play around while we sip coffee in our balcony was a one of my favorite daily routines. The hotel shows its age in some very small areas like hall way carpeting but that is just me nitpicking. This is our new favorite hotel in Oahu and we will definitely choose the Kahala Hotel every time we come back.

Kindness of the staff Restaurants close a little bit early in the evening

Excellent staff and facilities. Pool and restaurant services were top notch. Friendly and helpful at every turn. A little limited with options for morning coffee and sunset cocktails. Dolphin pool was entertaining and educational. Very peaceful alternative to downtown Waikiki.

Great hotel all around staff room amenities location very quiet and peaceful great for couples and family

The hotel has a lot of classic charm and is positioned on a beautiful stretch of beach. The staff are incredibly friendly, the rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. We had a top floor oceanfront room and the view was, as you can imagine, beautiful. The spa was also top tier. The pool area is small and quite busy. There’s no adults-only pool so be prepared for splashing from kids doing cannonballs and similar activities.

It is always a wonderful stay at the great dame of Hawaii. It is always difficult to leave the islands.

Great job at the way this property is maintained

Attention to detail, friendly staff makes you feel like family. Amazing location, room was fantastic and the beach is beautiful. Peaceful tranquility. Nothing it was all up to par. From when you enter through the valet to when you check-in, the pool guys. Everyone is so friendly there is nothing to not like.

Bed Sheets stained with blood, room moved to had hairball in shower, coffee pot did not work, room not cleaned after first night, lack of communication from upper management, sliding glass door misrepresents you can have it open to hear ocean...I could go on but....

Very quiet property away from downtown . Dolphins amazing There should be warning signs on the beach of potential water contamination from the prior storm runoff . I got sick 2 days later from accidentally swallowing the saltwater

A hidden gem 💎💎💎💎💎 I don’t give out a lot of five star reviews but Kahala earned it. What we loved about it the most was it felt very private, wasn’t crowded, and was quiet and calming. Pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and welcoming overall and the rates were good. Restaurant food was consistently good quality and easy to get a table. The one consideration for tourists is the location which is not in the Waikiki area but that’s what makes it so private. It’s a classic hotel that won’t disappoint. Will go back again

Beautiful resort! Although our room was not ready when we arrived, we were compensated for the delay.

Excellent luxury hotel. The dolphins are amazing. The building itself needs a little maintenance. The ac unit in our room made some strange noises. The battery in the safe needed replaced and the lighting in the bathroom is much too low. The pool furniture and umbrellas are faded. However, the place is very nice and slightly away from the craziness of Waikiki beach. Very private beach. All three restaurants are much too overpriced for the food. They are higher end but $50 for a breakfast is ridiculous. That alone will probably have us stay at the Moana next time.

Room super clean, we got an ocean view which was amazing. All of the restaurant is way over priced.

Comfortable rooms that are well appointed, great proximity to dolphin experience and the beach is just a short walk away. Services/restaurants end early, and no self serve options in lieu.
